A black tipped tail waved like a banner in the wind from behind a large mound of the monotonous red stones that littered the area. Closer inspection revealed the tail to be attached to a raised rump, light gray in coloration, the rest giving way to the form of a young wolf, poised in a most comical of positions. Forelegs remained splayed out before the wolf, his golden eyes locked on something in the dirt between his black-dipped paws. One eye was ringed with a thin circle, looking as if someone had greased the rim of a bowl and pressed it against his face.
His black tipped snout was nearly imbedded in the dirt, and his tail was still wagging, when a playful bark rang through the air. One paw shifted, to make a reach for what was holding the young wolf's attention. And the object was in fact a very small creature. A mouse, to be precise, and a very frightened one at that. When the paw came at it, it gave a startled squeak and darted off to find a crevice between the many rocks and squeeze to safety.
Watching with a look of mild amusement, Pisca pushed himself up on to all fours and meandered toward the crack the rodent had disappeared into. Snufflinf softly at the crack, he gave a low, almost apologetic whine while pawing at the stone, before his black tipped ears shot up. The sound of pawsteps upon the somewhat gravelly ground had caught the Omega's attention, and almost immediately, the wolf was scrambling up one of the rocks to peer around.
He knew most faces in the pack, even as many more were pouring into the lands, and was always eager to greet a friend, or in some cases make a new one. And perhaps, with luck, it may have been Shadow, or even Breakbone himself. Pisca was always glad to speak with them, on the brief opporunities he was presented from time to time, Breakbone especially. Whether he wound up having to leave them shortly afterward due to their busy schedules as of late, or because he himself had been assigned something to help take the load of his superiors, he was still as delighted to have cross paths with them. It didn't happen often anymore.
But for the time being, Pisca could not catch sight of whoever was approacing, or scent. He was left feeling quite blind and in a sense, unprepared. But that did not keep him from dawning a friendly look upon his youthful maw and within his golden eyes, nor did it quell his curiousity. And so, he hopped from his rock to make a careful approach for whoever was coming his way.

Battlewhisper, Gamma female of the Bloodbacks, looked down on the omega with one brow up and her ear cocked to the side. The lower ranked male seemed very happy, despite his class. Battlewhisper though of how she had almost been placed at the same level, and snorted. Although the former "Alphess of the Rogues" had no prejudice against omegas, she did not fancy becoming one.
Dispite her thoughts she smiled down at the young Pisca, who had a friendly look on his grey face. She liked his energy, and he seemed to be someone willing to tell her more about her new packmates. so her emerald eyes caught his golden ones and she held them, just to see what he would do. Her blind right eye did not see him, but he left could just as well.

And finally, golden eyes caught sight of the source of the approaching noises. Pisca's black tipped tail gave a friendly, short wag as he gazed at the newly appointed Gamma of Bloodback. Within a few seconds, the Omega was offering every polite gesture to his superior he could manage, his posture switching to a very unusual mixture of submission and friendliness. His tail remained untucked, and his ears upright, but his posture was undoubtedly respectful of the other's rank.
"Good afternoon, and such, Gamma Battlewhisper." He spoke up, his eyes lighting up as he lowered his head in a gentle nod to the wolfess. "I hope today has been treating you kindly."
Keeping his voice respectful and kindly, the young wolf planted his rear onto the ground, his tail curling about his paws in a last friendly wag. Peering across at the red-marked female, the Omega remained sitting, so as not to challenge her ranking by accident. He knew his place, though he had his own independent streak from time to time. As long as she was kind and friendly toward him, the gesture would be returned a hundred fold.

Battlewhisper was not the only creature who'd be heading in Pisca's direction. Another was a bit further away, but she was getting steadily closer. The gate was slow and casual. Boredom was etched upon her face as her bright blue eyes counted the endless pebbles beneath her paws. She stuck out her lower lip, blowing air upward to move a strand of pink hair out of her face. When that didn't work she shook her head. Perfect. She could see again. Lavender fur covered her from head to toe. Most of her fur was smooth except for her chest, the back of her neck, elbows, her hind legs, and her tail. They were extremely bushy.
There was only one thing to do to fix her problem of boredomness. The mutt quickened her pace. Her steps became light and bouncy while her gate had a prance-like quality to it. Her head bobbed from side to side while her tail swished in time. She suddenly stopped walking and struck a pose. Her eyes shimmered as she sang, "Yo, the name is Sally. The logic is erratic, potato in a jacket! Toys in the attic." She lifted her paws high as she began to prance forth again. "I rock and I ramble, my brain is scrambled! Rap like an animal but I'm a mammal." On the word mammal she dropped her voice to a lower octave.
She stopped her prance and stood still, sticking her nose in the air and flattening her ears. Her voice rose to a nasally pitch as she said in a snooty fashion, "All of our cosmetics are non-carcinogenic. Ahh!" A grin found its way across her muzzle as she lowered her head and pranced ahead, whirling around so she was backing up, her hips swishing side to side. Basically, she was prancing backward. "I been brain-fried, electrified, infected and injectified, vivesectified and fed pesticides!" She whirled around again so that she moved forward instead of backward. "My face is all cut up cos my radar's all shut up."
She stopped and turned her head to look at a boulder imploringly. "Nurse I need a check-up from the neck up," She turned her head away as her lips curled into a wicked smirk, "I'm Sally." She moved forward a bit before standing still. She frowned as she said, "It seems to have no effect Doctor." Then she turned her head and said in a horribly done foreign accent, "Get me another one. Get me anoza animal!" Then she added, "Ahhhh!" The mutt turned and trotted ahead. She was closer to them now. "They used and abused me, battered and bruised me! Red wires green wires stuck'em right through me." She came around the corner, her head bobbing and eyes closed. She didn't realized they were there.
"So hear my Sally words, and exercise a little prudence," On prudence she softly tossed her head, "When dealing with.." Her eyes opened. She stopped her prancing. Her ears, once perked, now flattened. Her tail twitched nervously. "....humans." The mutt swallowed. Oh how embarrassing! They had heard her singing! Oh dear. Oh dear! She looked down and suddenly found the pebbles quite interesting.

Perked ears swivelled noticably at the faint sounds of a voice further beyond in the background. Pisca's light grey head cocked to the side, his attention on Battlewhisper faltering for a brief moment as he strained to hear what was being said. After a few moments, the sound became more clear as the creator of the noise came closer. ... It was singing!
An unmistakable amused smile appeared on the young wolf's maw, golden eyes lighting up yet again at the sound of song beyond the horizon. His head remained tilted, and a small chuckle could be heard within his chest as he listened. The closer the singer came, the more noticable the tune and beat grew, until Pisca's tail was dancing to along with the words. And before long, his head was nodding ever so slightly in sync with the bodiless voice.
However, the voice soon gained a source, in the solid form of a very oddly colored wolfess. A lavender one. Golden eyes widened, though the grin still remained, and Pisca's tail continued it's slow, friendly sweep about his paws as he watched the wolfess' demeanor shift into embarrassment. He grinned wolfishly, eyes still alight as they lingered on her mop of pink hair. "That's the end, then? I was just starting to get a hang of the beat..." He offered her a friendly, reassuring smile.
"The name's Pisca... I'm Omega 'round these parts..." He glanced over at Battlewhisper uncertainly for a moment, before perking up again, "And this is our Gamma, Battlewhisper." Hopefully, the higher ranking she-wolf would not take offense to his introducing her, but instead take a liking to it. It always seemed to give the superiors with the lighter moods an amused sense of importance, having another introduce them. And it certainly helped break the ice for newcomers, especially in awkward situations like these.

((*laugh* FERN GULLY!))
"Good afternoon, and such, Gamma Battlewhisper. I hope today has been treating you kindly."
Battlwhisper smiled at Pisca's address. She was beginning to like the grey omega, so with a nod of her head she replied:
"Good day to you Pisca. It has been treating me very well, thank you. Has it been pleasant to you as well?"
As she spoke singing came over the trees and she turned her head towards the sound coming from an approaching fae. As she reached them Pisca introduced her as well as himself.
"The name's Pisca... I'm Omega 'round these parts, And this is our Gamma, Battlewhisper."
But she didn't mind, with a curt nod she looked over this new she-wolf. She seemed an odd one, that was for sure.

Pisca's features brightened at the Gamma's response, pleased by the pleasant response. He hadn't had much of a chance to speak with her before now, and had been unsure of her personality. But her response had been a positive one, and all Pisca could do, was grin... More so than he had been before, at least.
"I have no complaints at all, ma'am." He replied, his voice bright and friendly, as his posture portrayed that to both the she-wolves present.
Always eager to greet new arrivals, and do what he could to help out, Pisca found it difficult on deciding which wolfess to address first. Golden eyes shifted from Battlewhisper, to the newcomer, and soon, he gave way to his compassion and finally let his gaze rest on the lavender female. "Welcome to Bloodback territory.... What can we do for you?"

She sat down on her haunches, her eyes still glued to the ground. Oh look! A red pebble! She stared at it curiously, nudging it with her paw. It was perfectly round and smooth. It even shined in the light! So pretty. Her head lifted as Pisca introduced himself and the gamma. Her embarrassment lingered, but the omega's smile was contagious, and she found herself grinning back. Her tail softly wagged. "The name is Sally." She replied.
The lavender female blinked in reply. Bloodbacks? She didn't know they were here. She thought they were in the next mountain over. Pushing such thoughts away, she replied, "I'll take a large order of salmon with a small cup of water." Her grin broadened and became rather cheeky as she laughed. Seeing as they didn't however, her laugh became a weak chuckle, and then just finally died. Her ears flattened and twitched. "Tough crowd, tough crowd.." She muttered to herself.
"Soo.." She lifted her head and looked to them. "It's good to meet you both." Her grin became lopsided while she asked, "What do you guys do here for fun?" Her head cocked to the side, causing her bangs to fall in her face. Her nose scrunched up as she glared at them. Sticking out her lower lip, she blew and attempted to push the hair out of the way with the air. It fell back in place. She did it again. Same thing happened. "ARGH!" She shook her head so fast it became a blur, and once she stopped, the same strand fell in the same place. She glared at it, making her go cross-eyed, before fixing her eyes as she gave up.

Battlewhisper stared at this new fae, Sally with an odd expression on her face. ( Like this: ) This wolf seemed a bit A.D.D in her opinion, and she was acting like a pup. "What do you guys do here for fun?"Sally's question caught her off guard. Fun? Battlewhisper had never thought about it. "We train. A good fighter must always keep their skills honed. I suppose the hunt is our fun." The Gamma replied sternly. "So what is your purpose here, Sally?"She looked over at Pisca, trying to read his opinion of Sally. She was growing rather fond of the omega, and thought of him as the closest thing to a council she had at the moment. If he didn't like her, or felt she was a threat, Battle would remove her from the territory until she could find Breakbone or Shadow. However, if she seemed worthy, she would be brought to the Alpha.

"Oh.." She said. Her ears twitched and flattened against her mop of pink hair. Clearing her throat, she said, "I never did like training. It keeps you alive, sure, but it's boring after a while. I prefer playing and enjoying life myself, but training works too I guess." Her grin was weak and sheepish. At the gamma's next words, she replied, "I was actually just passin' through, but I like this place. Plenty of rough and tumble areas for wrestling and the like, so I'm thinking of joining up.. if.. I'm allowed anyways." Her ears twitched as she grinned again.
(Apologies for the short post. Braindead right now.)

((I think I was supposed to go after Battle. *smiles* It's much easier to maintain an order when there's more than two people. Helps keep things straight. But, I think, it's best if I go after Sally from now on. ^_^ Sorry for any confusion.))
"Most everyone trains," Pisca added to Battlewhisper's statement with a solemn nod, if there ever was one from the male. However, he smiled, and tacked on a light-voiced, "However, there are a few that provide some laughter amongst the ranks." He gave a wink to Sally, still grinning in his ever-friendly way, before sitting back to listen again.
What did he do for fun? If possible, Pisca's grin grew and his tail thumped softly on the soil it laid on. "For fun? Well, the usual, cause mayhem and wreak havoc, things like that. Run the higher-ups ragged, like any proper Omega should..." He snickered softly, and smiled to both the she-wolves present, hoping his good-nature would lighten the mood for them both. It was always awkward, coming into new lands, and it was always a bit of a stress, he heard, to exercise the first day of authority.
"Oh, a new recruit, huh?" Pisca's ears perked brightly, and the Omega was standing ready in almost an instant. "Of course you're allowed, don't be sillier than you already are. We'll just need to hunt Alpha Breakbone down, and make sure you two get properly acquainted."

"For fun? Well, the usual, cause mayhem and wreak havoc, things like that. Run the higher-ups ragged, like any proper Omega should..."
At this comment Battlewhisper broke face and tackled her new friend. She stood over him, but she was smiling, showing that she was not really upset at his comment.
"Run us ragged, huh? I'll show you ragged!" she said, pawing at his stomach so she started tickling him. "Who's ragged now?!"
Her golden-tipped tail swayed elligently back and forth, showing that she could have fun too. After she had tickled Pisca she flopped down on him in a friendly wolf-pile, laughing. It had been a while since she had laughed like that, and her thoughts drifted to the time when she had played like this with her brothers and sister.
Her body stopped moving as her memories consumed her, and she found herself wondering where Stormcall, Wavecrest and Starwind were. Shaking her head she brought herself back into reality. She sighed and looked over at Sally, still keeping Pisca pinned.
"And the higher-ups show the Omegas the true meaning of "Ragged" for fun." She told the lavender she-wolf.

Sally watched the two with a soft smile. They reminded her of herself and her brother. She itched to join in their fun, but she was just the outsider. It would be odd for her to do so. She tossed her head in an attempt to get some of her hair out of her face, but of course, it failed. She cocked her head and grinned cockily as she said, "Ah, but you forget that omega's always have tricks up their sleeves." She herself had done it many times. All one had to do was roll over so that the one doing the pinning would become the one who was pinned. She sat down on her haunches. She sniffed the air, enjoying how crisp and piney it was. "I like this place. It's not too shabby." The lavender female flashed her usual cocky grin.
