Gazing around through the trees towards the vast expansions of a clearing leading to the border of the Aryian lands, the wind called to her to leave and continue on life as a lone wolfen like she had always done. The air whistled and groaned, urging the Aryian/Whiteback mix to leave and never look back. Listening to the urgent beckoning with a mild sense to obey, Karinek tilted her head and rested her maw against her paws, still letting her green eyes soak up the landscape she had journeyed on since she had first breathed life.
Why all of a sudden she wanted to leave was a mystery in itself... born a loner, lived as a loner, and now that she was actually in a pack, she still acted as she was always alone. She hadn't met any of the others, only the beta, and glanced away before heading off in another direction if she sensed another wolf around. Maybe she was just born to be alone? If she hadn't, why couldn't her brothers be with her too? But they were stillborn, leaving Karinek to fend for herself when mother and father did. Now, even in a pack, she truelly felt lost...

A new day dawned and Lilah's face was of course a piece of the familiar views. She was always up at the crack of daylight and nothing pleased her more than breathing in the fresh morning air. Of course today was no different and the cheerful Delta was already romping around in the grass, a soft dew clinging to her soft pelt. She snorted lightly as she shook the moisture away, an awkwad stumble in her movements as she spotted an unfamiliar face half way through.
She cocked her head and gave a short yip to gain the stranger's attention. Strange, she thought she knew everyone in the territory, and this couldn't be a newcomer so deep into Aryian lands. "Hello," she said in a soft greeting, approaching cautiously but keeping her posture dominent, "I am Delta Lilah; I don't believe we've met."

A two toned ear flicked back, followed along with a quick turn of the halfbreed's head. She must have been lost in thought also, she didn't realize she had company... Immediately, Karinek drew to her feet as if the ground itself was made of burning coals and burning her belly. Her green gaze abandoned its previous longing and loneliness it held before and turned to fear and self-protection. Drawing her ears to the sides, lowering her head, and tail curling under her, she assumed the posture she was so much known to show to any wolf, even newcomers...
"F-forgive me, Delta Lilah. My name is Karinek... a subordinate of the Aryian pack..."

Lilah shrank a ltitle more than necisarry for her rank, but was quite guilty about startling the poor female. She seemed rather nervous and it soon became the Delta's goal to remove such a thing within her growing family. "I apologise for startling you," she nodded with a smile, walking over with a friendly aura but not standing too close for fear of making her uncomfotable, "Have you been in Aryia long Karinek?"
She gave a curious whine and pawed at the ground. Lilah's emerald eyes inspected the new female trying to memorise her pelt's pattern for future meetings.

"N-no, I should have been paying attention to my surroudings. You shouldn't have to apologize to me, Delta." She dipped her head in a respectful bow to the female's rank, but still her posture was a submissful one. Slowly she raised her head so she was roughly eye-level.
"I've been with the pack for a few full moons now. Beta Rouch accepted me around the borders when I was passing through..." Her mind was drawn back to the brown male who had been the first to notice her on these lands. She was grateful he had been nice enough to offer a place in the Aryian pack, now she wanted to show her gratitude. She just didn't know how. Long years living on her own didn't give her much contact with others, besides the occassional meetings with loners wishing to attack a hybrid such as herself.
[Not a problem... I usually make them that large.]

Her rump plopped to the ground in a pup-like manner, head tilting with a whine. "A few moons? That's disgraceful on my part," she chuckled to herself, "I should make a better effort to recognise new faces. Ah, Beta Rouch accepted you. Now there is a fine wolf." She nodded with fondness at the mention of his name. "Stron and reliable; you will be glad to have befriended him," her soft brush wagged form side to side trying to push away the uncomfortable submissiveness the female was showing. It was acceptable to respect Lilah's position but she was far too informal to care about that. Only when trouble was arising or blatant disrespect was witnessed would she rise up to defend her role as Delta. For now, all she saw was a growing family and she wished to bond with as many members as possible.
"How does Aryian life compare to your previous one?" she asked curiously, never having strayed from the territory before, "I hope you are being treated well."

Her ears tilt to the sides in deep thought before she responded to the Delta's question, "Better, I haven't yet been harrassed. Then again I have only met two members, the Beta and you." Her ears flicked back, she was already proving to be an invaluable member of the pack, and one of the few, if any other, subordinates. A wolf without rank...
"I rather dislike talking about my... displeasing... past." She chose that word because it seemed the only one to fll under the category of tormentive, fearful, and of her mixed heritage. Her tail hung a bit looser now, just the tip curled towards her stomach and her ears cocked to the sides again.

Lilah listened carefully nodding to her in an already growing fondness as the wolfess relaxed. "You will meet more," she spoke with a confident breath, tail sweeping around to cover her forepaws, "There are the Alphas of course, and a recent newcomer Whings has been accepted. A bit skittish to begin with but I believe he will find a nice home here." Lilah made a mental note to gather a hunting party at some point so the Karinek could socialise with others. It would be bonding aswell as productive.
Her ears dropped from her optimism however as the she-wolf spoke quietly of disfavouring her past. "I am sorry. I did not wish to surface ill memories," Lilah whined softly,f eeling quite the fool, "You do not have to explain anything you are uncomfortable with to me. Only know that Aryia is your new home, and as long as your new family exists, we will look after you." Lilah always enjoyed referrring to her pack as her family, and she hoped this ideal would reach the reserved wolfess.

"Ah... yes. Thank you. It will be a bit difficult for me to think of a pack as my family, but I will try... I am just unused to being around others. I was born and raised as a loner." Karinek turned her attention to the landscape, the same area she had been found by the Beta and close to the Aryian border to other lands. She could hear the wind calling her name again, enticing her to foolow that lonely road as a wanderer once again. Things may never change with her. "Sometimes I yearn to go back to the lands and roam as I always done... It may sound silly to others, but the wind has been calling me for a few days now."
She glanced back to the Delta, feeling less frightened and less stressed. Her tail now hung loosely and head held a bit higher. Her body was no longer tense and stiff as it had been.

The creamy pelted wolfess leaned closer as the wolfess opposite her seemed displaced and deep in thought. Her words were similar to Whings' upon their initial meeting, but unlike he, she seemed to not have cast her past life away just as yet. "I have never been outside this territory. You must have met many interesting wolves and had lots of adventures," she smiled with curiosity once more. Although she never dreamed of leaving her homeland, the Delta was always intereted in tales from afar.
Stories of experiences and memorable tales also helped the Aryian wolfess gain some idea of what the world was like in relation to the nearing war no one ever spoke about but knew it loomed.

Karinek finally decided to sit, placing her legs comfortably under her as she did so and gazing around at the scenery. It wasn't much different from other lands she had came upon, but she never really made a habit of remembering the different places she had travelled. Each held a bad memory in its folds, ones she would rather die than experience again. Her eyes drew back to the Delta as she spoke.
"Met, yes... Interesting, I have not met any who have done anything more than cause me harm... and adventures, I don't really know of such a thing. An adventure is good and exciting. Mine was more like a nightmare which had become reality."

Again Lilah shrunk back, feeling quite awkward and not used to such negativity. But of course it could never infect her and she sprung to ehr feet once more, trotting over to the femme and pawing her flank gently. "Well good thing they are behind you then and not with you now," she yipped with a grin and walking back a few steps in a playful manner, "I can assure you we do not let any wolves with ill-favour into these lands."
She nodded at that thought and held her tail high in pride for her home land, only hoping that more wolves could find sanctuary and strength here. Lilah was uncertain as to what Karinek's thoughts dwelled on at the moment, and could only hope such things would disappear into a memory and she could focus on living for what was right infront of her.

A green eye closed at the sudden physical and she moved away from it, not used to such things, even if it was a good mannered one. She hadn't been nuzzled, licked, or pawed playfully in years. It was like she had never known the touch and its meaning at all. The only thing closest to physical touch was the clamping of teeth and claws on her coat. Karinek gazed at the female, a puzzled and confused look etched on her face features.
"What... was that for?"

"What was what?" Lilah cocked her head in a pup-like fashion, emerald eyes blinking in confusion before she took a step forward and followed the other female's line of sight to the area where the Delta had pawed her affectionately. "What... this?" she did it again with a small questioning whine, "It's just... for fun. I apologise if you're not used to such a gesture. I'm a little over affectionate." She chuckled sheepishly and brought her ears back to settle on the top of her head.
She mainly used pups or the dear Beta Rouch for such an addiction to affection aswell as attention. But this situation was quite new to her as the others had never spoken that they minded her actions.

She tilted her head back to her flank where she had been pawed again, still a confused look on her face and a slightly concerned one also. She didn't move as much as she had did before, maybe a little more than a shift. Affection... she hadn't felt that in a long time. She had almost forgotten what it was like to feel loved and wanted, the pawing was the only thing which had brought the memory back up when she was pawed lovingly by her parents before their mysterious deaths. It had been a painful loss, to lose both of them in one day...
Karinek glanced back at the Delta, eyes a bit saddened but she tried to not let it get her down. Her fearfulness of everything will take time to recover from, like an open wound needing to be healed, it was her who needed to mend it. Others were just there to help her with any complications.
