During my time here, I've encountered a lot of you christians who are very, very, extremely close-minded to the Pagan religion and ways. This is mostly because of what you've been told growing up, corect? But you've never experianced Paganism, and I know for a fact the majority of christians could care less to actually research it - so they're rather clueless. Bluntly put, most of you Christians believe Paganism is evil and deals with demons and your so called "devil", selling your soul and killing goats to sacrifice and utter bullshit like that. So, let me enlighten the bunch of Christians here. Hopefully you might be a bit more understanding of this religion - and if I'm not mistaken, aren't christians supposed to be nice and open minded to other people?
First, let me start with a few things on Christianity that the christians themselves may not even know. Most people don't.
you know how your Bible says "King James edition"? Have you ever wondered why? I'll tell you.
In the time of King James, the bible was a very complicated thing to read for commoners. The words were very big and the grammar was not understandable to them. He didn't want his people to lose their faith, either. So, he decided to modify the bible and make it easier fo the common people to read. To do this, he had to change a few things around, but also, he added in things - taking the opportunity since half these people had never read it to begin with.
One thing is that he expanded on Homosexuality being a sin. The king didn't like homosexuals and thought it was absolutely wrong. What better ofa chance to make it such a blasphemous sin? Before, it was mentioned lightly. It was a small sin, such as fibbing might be.
Another thing was witchcraft. in order for this Christian religion to firmly take it's hold, all of the old day reminders had to be cast away. Once again it was mentioned in there lightly, but he expanded on it greatly. In all, he made Pagans seem like the hardcore Satanists.
I mention those two things because those are two of the biggest issues now days, and two that piss me off when Christians are so damn close-minded when they don't even know the half of it.
Another thing, during the time of the witch hunt, tere were actually very few witches who were burned at the steak. Maybe two or three. Most were tortured to death.
So. I'll now clarify some confusion of Paganism.
Paganism is NOT related at all to Satanism. It has nothing to do with the "devil" nor anything evil at all. In Paganism, there is no Devil, nor is there Evil. It is simply good and bad.
There are two main gods in the religion, The God and the Goddess, neither of which have names or faces. Paganism is about nature, and about yourself. It is not to but boundries and restrictions on you - so you give the gods a face and worship them as you like.
Paganism is a Polytheist religion - meaning there are many gods. I honestly probably couldn't even name them all.
There are no sacrifices made in order for a ritual to be done. In the old days Pseudopagans did that to scare people, other times it wasn't a pagan doing it, but rather another religion like it. The most you'd have to sacrifice is maybe a drop of your own blood from the prick of a needle.
Pagan women do not go around having sex with black cats or goats. They aren't slutty or any more seductive than any regular person.
Witches are Witches. A male witch is called a witch. There is no such thing as a wizard or warlock in paganism.
Magick is not black, white, green, or any other color. Magick is magick, and the only time it's bad magick is if someone gives it the power to be bad. (Although many witches refer to magick dealing with nature and herbs as green magick, it's still just magick)
Polytheist religion is the oldest known religion. Meaning every single religion today was branched from it. (Not branched from paganism, but Polytheism.)
Witches are not ugly. We don't have long noses and warts and where pointy hats and fly on brooms. Witches are regular people like you and me.
The Ouija board is pronounced a few different ways. The most common, although it's the most incorrect, is "wee-jee." The "O" is and can be pronounced, "Ou-e-ja", and then there's just "We-ja" which is usually what I say.
Also, the Ouija board is NOT, and has NEVER been for contacting bad spirits or demons. It is to contact the dead for fun, or for information.
This isn't just a Pagan fact, it's just for all those misinformed people about spirits:
Spirits are NOT physical. You can't physically touch them, nor do they take a solid image of anything more than a few minutes, if even that. If you see what you think is a spirit, then it's a trick of the mind. The ghostly images you see sometimes on film are real (Well, if not a prank), but those are not a solid form. It's like a cloud - constantly changing somehow, not able to hold the form together. Their most popular form is an orb, usually not able to be seen with our eye. Sometimes they're shadow-like figures, or light and misty looking. sometimes it's not a whole body, but rather just a part of it. We cannot do a thing to them, but they can to us. However, even as spirits they have laws and limits, and they aren't allowed to tell us in detail what their laws and limits are. Spirits can touch you. They don't like to because usually it's painful, or leaves marks. They can move things and make impressions on surfaces. There is also a difference between you "touching" a spirit an then them touching you. When they want to touch something, they use their spiritual powers and force, which, since it's between the realm of the dead and living, is a very strong force. When they touch, they 're forcing energy towards or onto whatever it is. Thus it can move or leave marks.
Spirits are cold. Beause they have to use so much of the energy of our world to be with us, it sucks all of the energy around them away. Ever walked through an unnaturally cold part of your house that shouldn't be that cold? You just walked through a spirit. It takes even more energy for them to talk with the ouija, so sometimes it helps, if you're brave enough, to lend part of your energy or self to them. Now. Back tot he subject.
Ouija boards cannot be done by a natural born pagan. This means if the parents were both pagan, and the child is too (or isn't, either way), they cannot do the ouija board. IT just wont work.
Many people cannot to the ouija alone, and it's not safe to anyways. I do however, because I have a lot of energy to spare, I'm very spiritual, and spirits cannot kill anyone unless by posession, so I'm not worried. (Spirits can only posess someone if they're willing to let them, however sometiems a spirit can do a half-posession which is somehow controlling just parts of yourself, sometimes by tainting something around you. It's wise not to have food or drinks around when dealing with spirits.)
Any pagan is a witch.
It's not just a female religion. Many men are Pagan as well.
Spells are very complicated and do not always work. There is no such thing as a spell that can harm someone physically.
so, I think that's about it. And here's something interesting I learned on the history channel about Christmas.
Christians never knew when Christ was born. It was never mentioned in the bible - simply the day he rose. Because It was already festival time around the time of the PAgan holiday - Yule, and they needed an excuse for elaborate celebrations. So, they decided to make it the 25th. Many things from the Pagan Yule tradition were adopted, such as the log and colors, other traditions were adopted from the germans and dutch such as the christmas tree with lights and Santa. It would be very unlikely that a baby would be born in the dead of winter in those times, and in no less, a manger where it's very cold. The baby wouldn't survive.
so, Christmas is pretty much stolen from Pagans. And it's not all about Christ, as honestly, it was just a made up holiday. This is fact.
