A remarkable image of Delgnat crept his way across the outskirts of the Chicotah lands. Mother had told him to go find his father, but how in the name of hell was he supposed to do that when he had never even met the guy? Still, he held respect for him for what little Mother had said about him. The duty she so often talked about was still a fog to Wrath, but now as he approached his first year he was certain it was a duty that was more important then any of his siblings lives. The thought of siblings brought a sadistic grin to his face, Lust had been taken away. He wouldn't have to deal with her constant presence, trying to best him when he couldn't be bested. If only Mother had taken Envy as well, then life would be complete. Hah, he had left Envy asleep in the den they had known as home. There was not way he was going to meet Delgnat with baby brother tagging along, no way in hell.
And so he continued his creeping, until coming upon a tree that had been stripped of all color and life. From the burnt bark it seemed to have been hit by lightning, a perfect place to wait for a wolf he had never seen. Rump hit the ground with an incredible lack of grace, and why would he need grace? He was a born killer, not a born dancer. "Alright Dad, where are you?" Perhaps he should howl? No, then father wouldn't come. Delgnat had no clue who his son was either, the only clue Wrath had was if a canine of his coloring should just happen to walk by. His posture was that of a soldier, awaiting a commanding officer to come and give his orders. Glancing around to make sure Envy had not followed him (He was a tricky little bastard), Wrath continued his wait. Delgnat. That's what mother had called him before, hadn't she?
Yes, she had most certainly called his father Delgnat. So - he had a name and a possible appearance, but that was about it. The odds said he didn't have a very good chance, but his gut said otherwise. It had become habit to follow his gut, for it had never let him down before. This morning he had awoken, and his gut told him to come here. Without even a second thought he left the den and began his search, Navy gaze touched the sky and found a gray fog covering everything. The sun had risen only a few moments ago, but now it was gone into the gray. Perfect atmosphere for learning the purpose of his life.
(Hope ya don't mind Del, I just wanted to move things a long a little bit x3)

It had been a long time since he had seen Tourniquet. Too long actually. Over a year now and no sign of life of her or the pups she was to be carrying. Invisilbe brows furrowed, low growl forming in his throat at the mere thought of the warrior leaving nd siding with Kein and bringing the pups along. Tail thrashed side to side, claws digging into the ground with such force dirt was torn up as he lifted his paws. Anger burned inside of him. "Lousy bastards. I should have killed her when I had the chance." He couldn't deny she was good when it came to fighting.
A new, yet familiar, scent filled his nostrils. Delgnat couldn't understand it. It wasn't one he knew yet one he did know. The Beta gave his head a good shake, pausing his movement as he did so, paws only slipping slightly on the ground. The dark hued wolf trotted onwards, body held close to the ground should whatever it was pose a threat. Blue eyes held a glare to them as the smell got thicker. A tree, or The Tree, as he called it came into veiw first. He knew this spot. It was one of the only trees to still stand after a lightining bolt had hit it. And right below that was the wolf giving off the scent.
Growl got louder, muscles tensing as he gathered his legs under him. With a loud battle cry which was more of a roar, he leaped forward, clearing the other male's head with just centemeters to spare. Delgnat could feel the tips of his ears brush his stomach fur. Apon impact the male spun around, fangs bared. "State your name and business before I rip your throat out." It was a pup! A mere pup in his eyes but a younger wolf none the less. And he looked almost exactly like Delgnat himself.

Waiting was something that Wrath had never learned. Canine had learned the skills of the kill quite nicely if he did say so himself, but he had never learned but simply sit and wait for something to happen. Simply sitting here made him feel like he was loosing precious time, precious time that could be spent carrying out the mission that had caused his birth ... whatever it was. The old wolf had better get a move on before his son drove himself insane with impatience, something had to be done. That something was what he did not know, but he was sure he was going to know soon. "Hurry up!" He muttered almost silently, glancing around as if simply wishing he would be here would make it so. Weight shifted from one paw to the other in an aggravated manner, continuing his glance around. Anyone with half a brain to come across him would sense he was waiting for something.
All at once the scent of another wolf flew into his nostrils, it smelled a might bit familiar even though the only wolves he had met were his siblings and mother. This scent was nothing like them though, it was stronger ... more masculine. That meant a problem. As if from no where a chocolate wolf flew over his head and threatened him with words as well as fangs. Turning in a lightning movement (It had taken him months to move at such a speed, and lots of beatings from Mother) his lip lifted, and he took a fighting stance. "I doubt you could take me. And what makes you think you deserve to know?" Many had heard that Tourniquet was pregnant, and many more had learned the names of her offspring. If this was an enemy of his mother then it would be best not to toss his name out in the open, no Wrath was smarter then to do that.
He stood his ground however, and did not charge recklessly like most of a single year would do. No - he would remain implace until this old wolf decided he would like a challenge on his hands. Perhaps Wrath was a mere pup, but when you're a pup you do not have the limits that adults have. At the moment he had nothing to live for, only a duty and a father that he did not know. Leveling up the older beasts strength, Wrath figured he could take him. Perhaps not win, but if escape was called for he would not be afraid to run. Little did he know he faced his own father, the very canine whose purpose he was meant to serve. Irony is grand.

A smaqll snort left his jaws as the pup turned towards him, his own fangs bared. So this pup had guts. But guts would only get you so far in the Chicotah world, expecially with Delgnat residing within it's borders. His head lifted slightly, cocky grin on his jaws with ears perked. "You got guts, pup. However, you best watch who you're talking to." Slowly, his head lowered again, lips still drawn back but the growl ceased to exist. Delgnat began circling the wolf who stood before him, tail thrashing side to side in a mannor that could taunt him.
Once he had completed a full circle the Beta stopped directly in front of him, blue eyes staring into the other wolf's own eyes. Paws were spread out, muscles tense and ready should the smaller verson of himself, almost, decide to attack. "Who sent you? Was it that bitch Tourniquet? Are you one of her pups?" It was almost as if he had known all along but in truth Delgnat was just throwing a guess out into the open. The real only wolf that would ever look so simalar to him would have to be one of his own kin.

Navy eyes rolled in their sockets at the mention of watching who he talked to, and he fought the incredible urge to spit at the older wolf. "A'course I got guts, I'm not some whiny little brat." Not like his baby brother, no sir. Invisible brow shot up on his forehead as Delgnat began to circle, he followed his movements with his eyes - but his posture remained in the same fighting stance throughout the whole encounter. As the older wolf stopped before him he resisted the urge to snap and growl and through a far more deadly version of a hissy fit.
"What's it to you! She's gone now, it doesn't matter who my parents are." Like a foolish whelp he had unknowingly admitted that he was indeed Tourniquets pup, in a vague way of course - but he had still admitted it. He had lied as well as been foolish, it mattered dearly who his father was - for that was were his assignment lay. Awaiting the older canine to speak, Wrath continued to hold his fighting stance - ready to spring away or bite with force should the time come for it.

Ears pulled back at the whelp's tone of voice. Glare formed in his eyes. Growl was back and louder than before, jaws parting slightly. No one talked to him like that and got away with it! Of course, he had agreed to be his kin. Delgnat couldn't help but notice how the pup acted with Tourniquets attitude and his mixed. It was strange to hear the whelp speak and talk back to him without as much knowing that this was his father, and who he would spend his trianing with.
"Tell me, whelp, if your parents hold no value then how to do justify speaking to your trainer in such a tone? Mind your tongue or I might just decide you don't deserve a meal for a few days. You will watch your tone. you will listen and do everything I say. And you will NOT speak to anyone other tham me. Got it?" Delgnat moved his face closer to his son's with each sentance he finished, ears still back and growl still there. "Now, state your name."

Boy, he had struck a note. A very low note. The relatively wary disposition that he had expected from anyone in these lands to hold changed into an annoyed and disgusted one. Expecting that the time to attack had come, his muscles coiled ready to spring out of the way. What happened next he had not been expecting, not at all. Trainer? What? Could this .... this was his father? The snarl drifted off his face to be replaced with one that could only be identified with a soldiers. Blank of emotion, and filled only with the complete and utter notion to obey. That had been drilled into him by Tourniquet, while her methods weren't conventional one could not deny that they had worked. And worked incredibly well.
"Yes Sir." Rump hit the ground, and he exposed his neck a sign of vulnerability and complete and utter loyalty. Indeed this had to be his father, no other wolf would even pretend to be such a canine should he faith Tourniquet or Delgnat's wrath. "Wrath." His tone was utterly blank now, one would never guess that only moments ago he had been mouthing off. No - his mother had done her work incredibly effectively.

Wrath. Exactly what he would bring down to the pack. The warrior had done well with names, but of course he couldn't have been the only pup which ment she had the others. Delgnat lifted himself to his true height, watching as his son exposed his throat to him. Eyes rolled in their sockets, a small sneer on his black gummed lips. "Don't expose your neck. It makes you seem weak." If it was something that had pissed him off it was weakness and whoever showed it. The Beta shook his pelt, eyes drifting to examine Wrath's frame. Not much to the pup, but of course, looks weren't everything.
Eyes drifted away from the smaller wolf, scanning the area shouls any other soul be in the area. Didn't matter if they were on his side or not. At the moment, whoever came near him would find themselves in a world of hurt. "How well is your steath, whelp?" Delgnat didn't look at Wrath as he spoke. He would only use the pup's actual name in certain cituations such as praise or when he was older, but not now. there was still a lot to teach him and he would not gain his name to Delgnat until he had completed his training.

The command was given, and so he obeyed - dropping his skull so his chin covered the vulnerable jugular. His face remained expressionless, though inside he was curious to how this training would commence. A little disappointing really, the training had begun and he had yet to learn of his duty. He'd have to learn it sooner or later, and it'd be best to remind his father that his son would work harder should he have a purpose for it. Navy gaze remained locked on Delgnat's own, curious to the thoughts that were currently passing through his mind. Some first meeting this was, but what exactly had he been expecting? Something along the lines of this quite honestly, and so the training began anew.
"That is up for you to decide. Mother says it is adequate." To state his own opinion would be foolish, for every wolf has an ego and an ego can get you killed. Now would be a good time to figure out what his purpose in life was, and so he opened his mouth to speak without any thought of consequences, "Don't you think I should know my duty, for won't I work harder if I have something to train for?" His posture, expression and tone remained the same. A mere cadet in the presence of a drill sergeant who has served his time in the force longer then Wrath had been alive.

True. More in likely Tourniquet had acessed his skills before hand. It would be like her to make sure the strongest male made it to him for training. "Of course. There would be no way for you to make it this far without some steath techniques." The Beta rolled his eyes. Wrath was doing very well with staying on his good side by not assuming crap and bragging about shit. Still, his whole attitude was starting to tick him off. "Drop the act, whelp. If you want to brag about something you know your good at, do so. You never know. I might just decide to test out those skills." Evil grin spread over his maw. Just wait until Kein saw what hell Delgnat had brought apon him this time.
"Ah yes. Your mother hasn't told you yet then I assume." Setting his dust colored rump on the ground Delgnat looked to Wrath. "See, I am the Beta of the Chicotah Lands, of course, you should know that. The Alpha, Kein, is too old, too kind to rule a pack such as this. He refuses to bring war to our mortal enemies. The ones who cast us out. It is my job, my plan, to rid the world of a leader to kind for a pack as bloodthirsty as this. Your job is merely to make sure I take Kein down. You will not receive love. You are merely a pawn in my plot. Got it memorized?"

A smirk grew across his face, a look that without a doubt came from his father. "Believe me, if I'm good at something - you'll know." The smirk disappeared as quickly as it had come, replaced with the same look of obedience that had become quite familiar through out the whole thing. While his mother had taught him most of what he was doing, part of it came from Wrath's complete and utter awe of his father. A wolf he had not met until mere moments ago, and yet Delgnat was a God that was deserving of fame and at least a higher position then mere Beta! He deserved to take orders from none, but perhaps that was what Wrath had been raised to believe. Whichever it was - this awe would make the Beta of Chicoah's job a hell of a lot easier. Especially with the combined strength of parentals running through Wraths' veins.
Listening intently to the mission he was suppose to complete, he nodded a curt nod. "Yes. I receive nothing, I am only here to give you strength to take down Kein's side." It sounded simple really, how hard could an old fool be to defeat? And furthermore, who would be stupid enough to go on his side? An old wolf whose time had come long ago against a leader with not only strength but the right idea. This would as easy as chewing through a nice tender fox kit.

Delgnat was at first surprised by Wrath's listening abilities. He was expecting some of Tourniqet's attitude in there mixed with his looks. The Beta knew that there were going to be a mixture of pups but for her to give him the one obediant one was certainly surprise. It was going to make his job all the more easier if Wrath followed his direction. Blue eyes continued watching the little pup before Delgnat lifted himself off the ground, trning so his back to Wrath.
"Well then, I guess we should get things started then. First with hunting." Tail flicked as the older wolf padded away from the life-barren tree and towards where training would begin.
