Tak uses his large shoulder to hoist himself stiffly from his make-shift den. The brush had been little protection from last night's downpour. Surreptiously shaking the morning dew from his faintly scented pelt, he peers around. The forest becoming more clear in the sparkling light of morning. He'd blundered across a boundary line last night. being too tired and weary he decided to sleep it off then search out the pack in the morning. Now last night's decision seemed a little hasty, perhaps they would not accept a rogue creature anymore than the previous packs had.
Turning from his slow musings, thick wolf trundles forward, his gait long and even. His sandy fur flows back, streamlined as his muscles move in the steady pulse of an accustomed traveler. However loner had begun to feel the pang of need for a pack and the development of loyalties. Tak spies a stream and decides that this is where he will await the arrival of the pack. Animals always ended up at water, and he assumed a border guard or Alpha would be along within the next few days.
The shaggy coated animal stretches out, his large front paws dipping langoriously into the stream, his ears flick back and rough pink tounge lolls from his mouth. The sun, thought barely overhead, was already warming his golden side irritatingly. He flicks his unkempt tail behind him and begins to growl unharmoniously eyeing darting bugs on the bank. His ribs heave with his off tune hum, and he waits. Posed almost submissively, no need to posture here where it would be best to pursue caution before pride in confronting the territories pack.
