Emerald eyes had been constantly studying the area, the entirety of the Bloodback territory, for the past few hours. Joaquin's paws were beginning to ache with her continual traveling, but still she would not stop. She had not yet seen any other members of of the pack, and was not sure if she was all that eager to do so. As the Omega, it was likely that she would be looked down upon, and even treated poorly. At least, that was the way it was in other packs.
However, curiousity had a strong hold on the wolfess, and she was content to continue her exploration of her old packlands. Nostrils flaring occasionally to take a sample of air, Jo began memorizing scents, as well as sights. The land was just seeping with the traces of packmembers, and Jo felt a little unsettled at the thought of meeting so many...
"All in due time," she murmured softly to herself, ears pinning back lightly against her skull as she finally took a rest from her walking. The wind brushed past, bringing with it the fading scent of the downpour she had just been caught in the middle of, and ruffling her pelt as it wafted by.
With a small sigh, Jo settled down upon her haunches, tail curling about her paws as she eyed the horizons. Still deserted, it would seem. Perhaps the other packmembers had found shelter and become too comfortable to return outside... Either way, Joaquin was more than happy to stay where she was until someone happened upon her. After all, she had seen most of the lands on her own... and anything she missed, someone was bound to show her.

((*smiles and nods* A little bit of patience goes a long way. I'll be fine, I'm sure. I rather enjoy just poking my nose around for the time being anyway... ^_^ All my characters are having issues finding others to interact with, so I understand. ^_^ No worries.))

( I hope you don't mind if I join in. <3 )
Different slunk forward, her nails clicking mutedly on the stone as she padded on sandstone rocks. She was not fully accepted as a packmate, and it was because of that she had been wandering the territory in the desolate downpour. She still felt uncomfortable around them, though they had been entirely welcoming and friendly. In fact, she would very likely become a healer, if she could only find her herbs again. So she roamed the Bloodback's vast land both to ecscape her lack of decent relationship with her new brethren, and to figure out what she could present to Shadow as her medicinal knowledge and capability. Despite her the waterproof guard hairs along her mane, her pelt was entirely soaked by this time. The lime green in her fur had turned a foresty color, and her dark grey had become black as the merciless night sky in winter. The short whiskers that adorned her maw were beaded with droplets of crystaline rain.
The hazy atmosphere caused by the passed rain made it difficult for her senses to function properly, so she was quite startled when she came across the equally drenched, yet also drying off, wolfess hunched amidst the rainfall. With a curious blink, she padded slowly toward Joaquin. The first thing she had spotted was the creature's emerald eyes, glowing through the gloom. She allowed her steps to become heavier, making herself heard slightly so as not to be mistaken for a foe. She shook her head, then down her back to her tail to rid herself of some of the clinging water, then neared the she-wolf with a wagging tail and lowered head. She was, after all, a new member and therefore an omega as well, though she had not yet realised this wolf's ranking.
"Hello." she spoke sweetly, her voice soft and pleasent yet hesitant.

(Of course I don't mind, m'dear. Haven't RPed with sweet little Jo in quite some time. This is most welcome. <3)
Flicking a sodden ear as she paused from her wanderings, Joaquin let loose a heavy sigh and stood to let her green gaze take in the view around her. The land was drying off, just as she was, and the scent of rain saturated everything, including her, though the scent of her own drenched fur was not as pleasant as the fresh aroma the rain normally left behind. Snout wrinkling slightly, Jo tested at the air, nostrils flaring as they sampled the different aromas. Territory markings had been all but washed away... Breakbone would undoubtedly be about once things had dried up, to re-establish those boundary lines. If he were not busy, that is.
Joaquin gave a half-hearted shake in an attempt to remove some of the water from her rain-laden pelt, and succeeded, for the most part. In any case, she felt several pounds lighter, when she had finished. Light enough to give a small start at the sound of pawsteps nearing. Tail lowering sufficiently along with her ears, the newly-appointed Omgea took a few steps toward the sound, only to relax as another she-wolf came into view, her posture nearly identical to Jo's.
Ears perking slightly at the greeting, Joaquin bowed her head politely, a grin flashing through her eyes and across her maw at the arrival of the other wolfess. It was a welcome sight after all the rain and otherwise empty lands. Damp tail swinging pleasantly behind her, she gave a soft, appreciateive 'whuff' before answering the other's greeting.
"Well hello to you as well, friend," she said, her voice carrying easily across the small distance between them. "You wouldn't be interested in keeping an Omega company, would you?" As she addressed the other, a small smirk appeared on her features, though she maintained a respectful, yet amiable tone. No sense in offending anyone.

Different allowed a grin to spread slowly across her muzzle, still slightly uncertain. She opened her maw to speak, but was caught mid-word as her ear began to twitch spazzticly. "Of Cour-" Unfourtunately, some rain had somehow seeped into her left ear, even past the thick fur protecting it. In agrivation, she began to scratch her ear, her head tilted to the side and left eye squinting to avoid getting the water into it as well. With a last beat of her hind leg against her ear, she finished her sentence. "Sorry. Where was I..? Of course, I'd be more than happy to keep you company."
The she-wolf glanced around, noting the lack of any other life in this area. She smiled again, more heart-felt this time. "My name is Different. May I ask what you were doing all the way out here alone?" she questioned, ever-curious. Of course, she had been wandering out by herself as well, but she hoped the fellow omega wouldn't point that out. She took a moment to look Joaquin over, for the first time seeing her in decent light. The wolfess had a damp coal pelt, with accents of silver along the chest down to coat her tail. Pretty variations of tan and brown mingled with a deep crimson to mark her back, face, and one leg. Her eyes remained her most promintent feature, however.
Different had decided to try and make this wolf her friend. She had a sort of finality with this sort of thing, where she would either try or just let things take their course. She was perfectly aware of her lack of friends, knowing only Shadow so far and not being able to even declare that the beta didn't despise her. Shadow was very withdrawn, it seemed. But hey, the beta had told her to explore the territory, not forge bonds among her packmates. Those friendships would be achieved later. Of course, what was the fun in wandering in new lands without a single friend? Yeah. There was very little fun in that, unless you were the halucionating pschycopath sort. Which she was, thankfully, not.

(Hope you guys don't mind if I join too...)
Elder wolf patrolled with an uneasy tightness in her spine, that thankfully worked in her favour, giving jerking stride an extra hitch and furthering the uneven gait that carried her.
The less then pleasant weather was doing no wonders for the scarred creatures nerves or mood, the rain made catching a scent near impossible, sounds were difficult to pick out from the drumming water…And well as for sight the haze was no friend to catching signs of intruders that way.
Wide paws caked with mud would left every few steps to give a rough shake in a vain attempt to discard some of the gunk, to no avail. Much to her distress and embarrassment she all but walked into the two Omega’s before coming to the realization that they were there!!
If they had not been speaking the old girl would of likely bumped into them. As it were she was saved exaggerate shame by their words and was able to compose her self before raising her own voice.
“Bad weather to be out in.”
The Warrior’s tone was even and in no way harsh, there was a shadow of concern tickling the back of it. There were so many faces that she did not know…if they were pack mates out in this miserable night then she would wish to usher them to some place dry….If otherwise. Well then they would be dealt with accordingly.
Darktide looms out of the downpour, not nearly as imposing as she would have been if she had been dry. No high crest of fur to increase her height…but with the water-soaking pelt the scars were no longer under the fluffy cover and stood out starkly against coal shades. Aged face decorated in its badges of battle would look rather un welcoming with its dents and bumps and exposed scar tissue.
The stance she holds borders upon casual and superior, a cool comfort within the wiry battle tempered frame that spoke of experience. This was no low ranking wolf.
