Zayne was in hell. Plants were coming forth less and less frequent, and the ground was getting harder and dustier. Normally, she wouldn't care if her fur was getting messed up, but there was little else to do with the absense of plants. Giving a whine, the strangely colored female bounded forth, irritating dust at every step to settle around her ears and nose, causing her to sneeze several times and fall backwards onto her rump. The wolfess was very clearly not used to this sort of enviroment. She didn't like it one bit. Getting up off of her back end, she bounded forwards more quickly than before, ignoring everything as she rushed past the clay riddled mountains. Scenting the air as she moved forward, she took in the scents until the pungent scent of water struck her nares. Giving a happy yip, the wolfess speeds up until the water is in full view. Then she slows, dust rising and falling around her paws.
Stepping up to the water, she lowered her maw to lap up several pints of water, quenching her thirst and releiveing the feel of her incredibly dry throat. Wagging her tail as she lapped up the last few drops of water, the female gave a light whine and was finally able to think clearly. The first thing she did as she glanced around was sniff for plants, but finding none, she gave a frustrated sigh and turned her attention to food. She hadn't eaten in several days and was quite hungry, despite her ravanous search for plants. Padding forward, her nose goes to the ground and she attempts to scent out prey, but with said prey being only a little less scarce than the plants she had searched so fervently for she ended her search near the water source she had found.
Flopping down near the water, she shrugged off a type of pouch that was around her neck. It was a sort of backpack type deal, flicking it open with a forepaw reveals dozens of little packets filled with various herbs and plants. Lowering her maw, she sniffed at the pouches until she found a certain one. Digging it open with her maw, she pulled out several small nuts which she gobbled up quickly, shell and all. The nuts were enough to sate her hunger for the moment, and as she closed the bag and nosed it back around her neck she flopped down in the dust, giving a light sigh and laying her head down. She wouldn't stay in this place for long, the lack of plants was horrible, but it was fine for now. She was exausted, and without hunger and thirst stinging her abdomen, she was content to simply rest for a while.
