After a full day of dealing of complete and utter nimrods boasting of their strength, Javert was more then happy to collapse beneath the open stars. Most of those who had come to the recruitment were idiots who didn't deserve a second glance, luckily one or two seemed to have at least a bit of knowledge left within that large skull. Come sun he'd have to harness that bit of knowledge left and use it to ingrain law and order into them, or the newest members of Roumeg would not be very happy with him around. Pushing these thoughts from his mind, muscular limbs pushed against the ground bringing him onto his back. Paws dangled in the air - as if some giant had were holding a ball of string and he were simply a kitten trying with all his might to claim that string as his own.
The reason of the movement was to gain better view of the stars, not to bat at some invisible string. Thoughts came and went as they pleased, the events of the past month drifted in and out of his skull as if they had happened only the other day. So far the newest recruits still hated his guts, but that was fine. They'd learn he was right one day when they got killed for some foolish mistake that Javert had clearly warned them against making. Thoughts of Ximera came, followed by wondering what she had been up to whilst he was busy recruiting and strutting about as the Tom that was in charge. Incredibly tiering work really, and yet despite the late hour he could not find himself fatiguing. Sleep did not creep up upon him like a blanket, gently enfolding him and taking him off to a world were reality was a myth.
"Just as well." Came his voice, breaking the incredible stillness that had once been sewn across the land. It seemed even the crickets had gone to bed, the birds gone to drive the wolves out of their minds with the chirps and calls that came at this season. Jaw dropped itself in a yawn, exposing incredible fangs that gleamed in the pale moonlight. Gaze drifted to the moon, a crescent in the sky, before it returned the the main focal point. Stars that twinkled and danced in the sky, holding their place. If only some of those damned recruits would.
