Black pelt gleamed in the moonlight as a hybrid walked the plains of the Youkol Pack, eyes straight and mind keyed in and concentrating on where she was going. Nameless was leaving the life she previously had and sought out a new one with the feral dogs that resided in this place, she had heard of them from when she used to live near the men. They would talk about how they lost another dog to them and that soon they would grow to a large number that would crush the way they lived and worked, toppling the pack onto its back to expose its soft underbelly when the time was ripe and they could seize the land they thrived upon. At least, that's what her previous owners always said.
Now, the dog just walked with head held high with an inteligent air and firey gaze. She had a black pelt and a hazelnut muzzle, eyebrows, throat, chest, belly, eyes, and the end of her tail. Actually, it wasn't exactly the end of her tail, it started at a little less than halfway. Her back legs were white, however, and on her right foreleg there was something like a V that wrapped around like a band. It was a darker tone of the color on her chest that was held out in a proud fashion.
And yet, even though the fae stood and walked in a proud manner, there was something that resided around her that gave her a mysterious air. Maybe it was because she was from a different place, or perhaps it was all the secrets she hid and past she didn't want to reveal. Even so, that would not stop her from wanting to join the Youkol Pack. She would be a strong addition, and hoped to keep the humans out of the wild lands that did not belong to them. She would prove herself, in time.
The tri-colored frame halted as it reached the point where the land she walked on was higher than the land before it, letting the night wind roll through her medium length fur as she waited to be scented by the other dogs in the pack. Nameless did not know its exact numbers, but she did know it needed more than what it had. After standing still for a few moments, unmoving with a steady and somewhat unnerving stare consuming all that she did, she broke the silence of the land with a howl as her head lifted and eyes closed, maw agape to let out the solemn call that told of her presence and wish of acceptance.
(Going camping for the weekend, won't be able to reply until either Sunday or Monday.)

WHA?!?
*Auprier, in a woken panic, scrambled to her feet at the loud sound of a stranger's howl. Now that the girl was fully awake...she swung her large head back and forth, trying to see exactly where that noise came from. THe hybrid yawn lazily and streached out. She was a lazy cur, and hadn't planed on moving the rest of the night...but no matter. Auprier was always up to meeting new dog. With a shock, the golden fluff ball realized that the newcommer was right there, not more than five yards away! She laughed, golden eyes glistening, as she approached the newcommer.*
Lovely voice, dear, but don't you think it's a little bit late?

A yawn was heard through the trees as another came closer. The light footsteps of paws were able to be heard to only those with highly sensitive ears. Creatures with bad hearing, such as humans, could sense nothing as he came closer. A flock of birds took to the air as there was a snap of a twig. Eyes blinking sleepily, RavenHolm, leader and founder of the Youkol pack swaggered forth. When the howl had broken the silence, Raven had been curled up in his sizable den, sleeping, for his duties had worn him out. He sat before the newcomer, his back foot scratching behind his ears. ”You rang?” he said incoherently as his head bobbed forward in a clumsy bow. Usually, the wolf would have been more polite, but he had been woken, and hadn’t exactly shrugged off the burden of sleep.
The base color of his pelt was a dark gray, almost black, shade. A lighter hue of gray ran from the base of his neck to the beginning of his fluffy tail. His ears, the same color as the patch on his back, were laid back as sleep threatened to overcome him. The toes on his front feet were dark gray, while the upper part of his front legs were a yellow hue. Yellow fur also appeared on the toes of his rear legs. The same yellow color ran from the underside of his maw, to his throat, down his chest, and over his underbelly. A sand colored stripe under each eye started at his nose, and ran across the side of his face, just past his crystal blue eyes that were surrounded by bright yellow fur. A tattoo of a paw was upon his left shoulder. It was split through the middle with one side orange and the other a sand color. There was a slight clinking noise as the bear-claw necklace hanging around his broad neck swung. The Husky and Akita mix shook his to clear his vision.

Nameless turned around, not to fast but not to slow, making a somewhat haunting air about her. She could be haunting, she guessed, she could easily hide in the shadows of the trees and shrubs, as well as the night and stalk others almost perfectly. But, she wasn't trying to be invisible right now, she wanted to be seen so she could join the Youkol dogs. Hazelnut optics looked over Ravenholm, it seemed that she had awoken him from his sleep, as well as the fae nearby.
"My apologies for waking you. But I assume you are the Alpha of the Youkol Pack, seeing as you have come to answer my call." When the other dog said something about her voice, she turned her head to face her. "My voice? THank you for the complement, and again I apologize for waking you, the both of you. I just thought the Alpha wouldn't like the idea of an unregistered dog wandering and sleeping in his packs territory."
Then she turned to look at Ravenholm again. "I called, as you might have guessed, because I wish to join your pack. I know its numbers are few, and I could be a most needed addition to assure it's future. And who knows, someday I might become your Alphess."
At this last comment she grinned in a playful way. She did not really mean it, but it was a nice thought, to become Alphess. She wasn't even sure if he had a mate already. But hey, only time would tell. Time, as well as her haunting past. Was she ready to put it behind her for the last time?
(Bah, braindead near the end.)

Ooc://Since Zoarta hasn’t logged in for a week, I will go ahead and post my very crappy post.
Another yawn was emitted, this time a more silent one, as he stretched. Now, the Alpha was more awake, but not fully. Crystal blue eyes examined the wolf that was before him as he finished his stretching. RavenHolm shook his head and said, “No need for apologies, dear. Also, your assumptions are correct. I am the Alpha of the Youkol Dog Pack.”
“You are one of the many pack seekers of recent times, though are numbers seem to have dwindled,” he replied to the new wolf. As her last comment came out, he cocked his head to the side, slightly. “It takes time to find the one you truly love; some don’t find one at all. Now, would be so kind as to provide me with your name?” His head was now in its upright position as he inquired.

Her name. Something she wished to leave behind, with her past, but couldn't. Names were forever, even if they were forgotten. The name the humans gave her was Jessie. She liked the name just fine, but the origin of it made it displeasing to her, so she was now virtualy nameless. And that's where she gave herself a new name in hopes of a new future. "My name is Nameless."
(Crappy, class over.)

Ooc:// I will go ahead and post since it has been a week since log-in. Beware, it is rather short, 'cause writers block attacked.
Once again, RavenHolm’s head was cocked to the side. “Do you mean your name is Nameless, or you are nameless?” That look of confusion had spread over the features of the Alpha as he tried to comprehend this. Why would someone have the name Nameless? That seemed to be quite odd. But then again, not all things were 100% normal. “Pardon me for being so inquisitive,” he started, “If your name is Nameless, why is this so? ” A simple question it seemed, but she might not want to answer it. He himself usually chose not to speak of his own past.

OOC|:. That's fine.
IC|:.
"I have two names, but my real one I keep to myself and close friends. Although, since I have no close friends I am the only who knows it. The name that I give for others to call me by is Nameless." Multi-colored fae sat on the ground with a swish of her somewhat fluffy tail, similar to that of a modern day border collie, hazel end sweeping the dirt away as she sat on her ebon haunches. "So, my final answer as to the question of my name. My name is Nameless."
Then Ravenholm asked why this was so. Nameless gave a slight sigh, and she looked at the ground, hazel eyes half closed. "Well, the reason for my name. I had a...difficult life before I came to these lands, your lands. I liked the name the ones who looked after me gave me, but I felt a new name was in order. I don't exactly know why I chose the name Nameless."
Then Nameless looked back up at the yellow and black dog Alpha. "Do not be ashamed for asking questions. You're the Alpha, it is part of your job."

Oh. I see, Nameless,” RavenHolm answered to the she-dog with a nod of his head. When she finished the second portion of her answer a frown appeared on the feature of the Alpha Dog. ”It was the humans wasn’t it? I too have had an unfortunate time while I dwelled upon their lands.” A black colored tail swished to and fro in agitation as he recalled the events in which he had been previously forced to live through. ”Damn those humans,” he thought to himself. ”Indeed it is my job,” he answered to her with the frown still upon his features as he continued on:
”Well, Nameless, you have come seeking entrance into a pack, and so, I hereby grant you membership into the Youkol Dog Pack. First, you will start out as a subordinate. It is possibly for you to gain a higher rank as you help improve the pack with your abilities, whatever they may be. Be sure to introduce yourself to the other members of Youkol.”

If she hadn't been traversing through difficult territories and treated the way she had been, Nameless would have smiled now that she was accepted into the Youkol pack. However, the humans did make her a bit jaded and the trip didn't help. "Thank you. And you did not give me your name. I like to know who it is I am serving under."
The multi-colored she-dog stood on all fours and nodded her head. "Yes, it was the humans. Many of our kind have been branded by them in many different ways, some living happily after and others having a cursed life in their lands that don't belong to them until we are forced to run away and start a new life. I'm assuming you had a rather harsh time with them as well."
