The trees mostly concealed the creature moving among them. Bare, pale flesh was sometimes lit up by the mid afternoon sun when she passed by a spot where the sun was filtering down through the forest canopy. The creature was actually moving very quickly, not quite as quickly as a canine or other creature might, but quickly nonetheless. As the beast moves into a small, open clearing, she as reavealed as not a canine at all, but a human. She was clearly not an adult, but not a young child either. Pale skin was mussed with streaks of dirt and crimson stain. Matted, dirty, clearly ebony hair spills down over her bare shoulders and front, revealing her completely bare body as she moves. One thing was strapped to her lithe body. There was a brown leather band strapped around her left thigh, holding a small silver dagger.
The girl gave a frustrated little half wolf, half human growl, pausing within the clearing to move from the four legged position that she had been in to a more bipedal position. She found it uncomfortable to stand to her full height of five feet and would often either crouch over a little bit, or until her palms would be touching the ground. It was clear that palms of both hands and the soles of her feet had been conditioned over the years to be able to tread upon hard, rocky ground. Now, she took a step over the pine needle infested ground without even so much as a wince of pain. The human certainly wasn't pleased. Wariness, anger, and confusing filled her bright blue eyes, which were encircled by strands of pure black hair. The girl spoke, but it wasn't the natural voice of a human female. It was the language of the wolves, the only language she had ever learned.
" Damn. Where could they be? "
Another sound escaped her pale mouth, but it was a soft whine as uncertainty came over her. She was lost, and she knew that it was her own fault for wandering off so carelessly. Her mother had always called her a dreamer, and now she knew that the old wolfess was right. She had been daydreaming when she should have been paying attention to the hunt, and now she was lost. It was easy to blame others though, and she would often blame the wolves for not paying better attention, but they were the ones who adopted an unwanted human pup and gave her a second chance, so she could resent them too much. Sighing, the girl took a few steps forward, thrusting her head into the air and extending her nostrils as she took in the scents around her. The girl's sense of smell wasn't as good as her wolven kin, but it was way better than other humans.

Ooc:// Mind if I join in with RavenHolm? An odd smell rushed into the nostrils of the multi-colored mix as he crouched, ready to spring. In front of him was a small rabbit, staring lifelessly ahead. For one such as RavenHolm, leader of Youkol, it was a small, yet satisfying meal. Before he could identify the smell, he leapt towards the rabbit, gripping it in his jaws. It struggled in the jaws of RavenHolm as he bit down hard, ending its life almost instantly. Now, back to the smell. Raven knew he had smelled it before, but was unable to place the scent. It was locked in his memory, somewhere. Silently, he moved, his long legs carrying forth. A black nose was slightly raised in the air so that he was better able to pick up the scent. Not only could he smell the thing, but he could hear it. The growl it had released sounded somewhat like that of a wolf, but not exactly. It wasn’t far off, so RavenHolm used is adept scenes to find the creature, the hare still hanging from his mouth. The wolfen language met his ears and he went towards the clearing. Perhaps it was that of the odd smelling creature, but it could possibly be that of another pack seeker. RavenHolm wasn’t going to risk it, so he prepared himself to attack with full force. Surprise spread across is his features as he spotted the human upon her hands and knees. “The hell?” he said, though it was muffled because of the rabbit still stuffed in his mouth. Cautious, he dropped the rabbit in front of himself, his own crystal blue eyes fixed on her. Why was this human in his territory. The Alpha's first instinct was to growl, but he wasn’t sure that this thing was a threat. Why in the hell was it even here? The thing seemed rather lost, at least to Raven. With uncertainty, he moved forward slowly, curiosity, fear, and hatred shining his eyes. What was he to do? He knew he could fend her off if it came to fighting, but that thing strapped to her leg was deadly. RavenHolm was sure of it because he had watched it kill his brother. Not knowing what to do, he stopped moving forward. He stood around two yards away, gazing suspiciously at the creature. And then a strange thought entered RavenHolm’s mind. Was this the creature that had spoken? Was she really able to speak the language of the wolves? It seemed so; there were no other creatures about besides a few birds and rodents. Well, he could at least try to speak to it. “You are intruding upon the Youkol lands; state your business and do it quickly, human.” Raven seemed to hiss out the word ‘human’ as he spoke.

(( Of course not ))
She hadn't noticed the presence of another right off, but soon her dull sense of smell caught th air and upon it was something not totally foreign, but not familiar to her at the same time. Her actions were sent in defensive mode as the scent seemed to get stronger as whatever it was came forward. The scent was canine, something reminded her of not only wolves, but of foxes too. This was how she knew that it wasn't either. This caused her to be even more confused. Instinctively, her left hand went down to touch the hilt of her fang, and her eyes narrowed as she glanced about, the scent overwhelming her.
Suddenly, what it was came into her sight. She inhaled sharply as she gazed upon the beast. She didn't know what it was. It looked vaugly like a wolf, though the overall body structure was very different. As was the scent. It said nothing for a few minutes then finally spoke, his words causing an anger to boil deep down within her chest. Of course she could understand the words of this dog, and they made her unbelieveable angry. The scorn when he said the word human did not escape her and she growled back, hand fulling gripping the hilt of her dagger and pulled it from it's sheathed, narrowing her blue eyes and moving forward a few paces, words spilling from her mouth quickly and angrily.
" I am lost beast, and it'd do you well to remember not to call me human. Such a name is an insult to me. I am a wolf, not a human. While I wear this deisgusting form, I was raised with the wolves. So, unless you feel like losing your tongue, I'd advise you to stop calling me a human..."

When the hand of the human went to the knife, a flash of anger went through him. He pulled his hackles back to show his teeth. Control yourself he snapped in his mind, trying to control is overwhelming anger. Blunt claws dug into the ground as anger continued to rush through him. This is no way to behave It took a matter of seconds for him to gain his composure. Nothing was worse than an Alpha acting like a childish adolescent. RavenHolm examined her, accessing what he would do if a fight started up. He was faster than her, but she held a weapon that dominated his claws and teeth. Nothing would stop her from simply slicing open his throat with that thing. His blue eyes narrowed as he stood his ground, not willing to turn away from the human, or wolf, or whatever the hell she really was. “Tell me then, if you are a creature of the wild, why do you carry a weapon that of a human’s?” It was a rather rude inquiry, but RavenHolm wasn’t about to be nice to her. Ooc:// Sorry ‘bout my short posteh.

She could tell that the beast was unrelenting, that she wasn't going to get out of this predicament easily. She growled, rising her front end until she was nearly standing upright, but not quite. Moving about in this type of hunched position was easier than moving when she was lower, but it made her uncomfortable. It was good, however, for intimidating smaller creatures. Whether it would work that way on this beast was unknown, but she was sure that she'd find out sooner or later.
Snarling lowly, she gripped the dagger, and raised it slightly, ready if the beast decided to attack. She knew that she wouldn't stand a chance in a fight if it wasn't for her fang, so when he tried to rip at her ego by ripping at the reason she carried the thing around, she snarled, snapping forth. She didn't need to explain herself to this creature. She was a wolf, more important than any other creature in the land, but she would speak to it, if only to make herself feel better about why she carried something that was so clearly human. She snarled, her words coming up in a low growl. Unlike this creature, she found no reason to be rude...all she was interested in was finding her pack, and being a beast like this immature creature wouldn't help her any. Her words came out in a low hiss.
" I was born in this disgusting pelt, with blunt claws and blunt fangs. I have neither the speed, smell, sight, or hearing of my kin. This fang is the only thing that allows me to survive in my home, and it's the only way I'll be able to slit your throat if you are intent upon fighting me."

The Alpha easily backed away from the human. RavenHolm sat down as he listened to her explanation. The anger that once inhabited him seemed to have dispersed, although it was still hidden within him. Although it seemed as if he relaxed, he was far from it. A simple act, it was. It was a really a test. If she attacked because he appeared to have let his guard down, RavenHolm would either stand and fight, or flee to warn his pack. Never would he let any harm come to his pack; even if it meant offering up his own life. Any threat to the pack, he thought, should be eliminated. So, he sat still, listening to the ‘wolf’. The last part of her explanation sent anger roaring inside of him, although he didn’t show it. Instead, he replied with an, “I see.” And RavenHolm sat quietly, his crystal blue eyes registering no emotion. Ooc:// Damn the shortness.
