Lilah's soft pelted rump finally slid to the ground, her small pink tongue hanging from her maw in a slight pant. "Enough walking... wouldn't you say?" she half-smiled, only one side of her face scrunching up with amusement at her own misfortune while she sat to rest her injured and tired body. The Delta had been escorting the newest member Ruskin about the Aryian lands for the most part of the day, and now she rested with him in a popular social area for the pack.
A part of her was nervous for other packmates to meet the new male, his past home being quite controversial in Aryia's eyes. The Delta had been safe with him all day though and also felt a little excited to see the pack growing, and with wolves with such diverse backgrounds. "Hopefully others will wander by and I can introduce you," she smiled to Ruskin before letting her head droops gently as she rested, "Either way, I hope you don't mind me sitting here for a while."
A bashful expression overtook the she-wolf's face, ears dropping slightly and motioning to the injury disguised beneath fur and blesh. Her ribs gave a dull ache on cue, Lilah deciding to listen to the injury for once, taking it as a message to rest for a while. She'd either make her ribs worse, or get a stern talking to by other packmates. "Feel free to wander about... "

The young former Chicotah looked with concern at his escort, hoping that she would be okay. "I'd say so.. You should rest for a while...," suggested Ruskin. During their travel, he'd noticed that her injury seemed to be progressively getting worse. Sitting by her side, he looked about for other pack members, hoping that they wouldn't chew her out as the Beta Rouch had.
Sitting by her side, he glanced about vigilantly. If any others did happen by, they probably wouldn't receive a Chicotah well... He'd been fortunate that Lilah had been so kind and trusting when it came to his bloodline. His fur stood on end, feeling electrified by his adrenaline rush, caused by his consistent worries.
"I'll stay here, by you... If Rouch were to happen by, and think I was without escort..." he began, breaking off mid-sentence. Ruskin figured that the rest could be pretty much inferred from there. Patiently, he awaited the arrival of other Aryians.

(( C'mon people! >.o Pretty pleeeeease? ^_^; ))
Lilah was appreciating Ruskin's sensitive nature for other's well being. He had been concerned for her all day and it made her want to laugh, but she held it in lest he feel silly. She had the feeling that his mannerisms would shine through any immediate distrust any other wolf displayed. "How many times do I have to tell everyone I'm fine?" she asked with a chuckle more to herself than to the new pack mate.
Ruskin voiced his concerns about Rouch and her ears drooped slightly in memory of that past moment. Never had she felt more ashamed. She was torn however. She felt like she had a responsibility to show faith in Ruskin, but on the other hand, the last thing she ever wanted to do was to let Rouch down. "Yes... I suppose you shouldn't stray," she raised her head, emerald eyes scanning across the safe haven of lush grass and sturdy trees that was almost always inhabited by packmates lounging around.

Shoulder healing, Whings had decided to give it some exercise. Walking didn't make it feel much better, but he didn't want to forget how to walk, or something strange like that. His limping took him into the sight of his friend and fellow injuree Lilah. He barked to her, announcing his presence, and limped slightly faster.
Finally, he reached the spot and saw another wolf with her. Not knowing anything about the war or any other packs, he smiled warmly to his packmate. Giving Lilah a quick nudge on the nose in greeting, he sat down across from them. "Hi!" he offered a chipper greeting to the both of them before turning his head to the wolf he didn't know. "I'm Whings. Are you new? I just joined a while ago." Despite his obvious discomfort at meeting high-ranking wolves, Whings was quite friendly around those equal or lower than him in rank. Even Lilah he felt comfortable around, now. He felt able to be himself around her and the rest of the pack - it was just those pesky alphas that scared him half to death.

Wagging his tail, Ruskin looked to the other packmate. "Hey," he replied brightly. "My name's Ruskin; I'm a new subordinate."
This new wolf seemed rather friendly; quite the opposite of what he expected from the others. He wondered if perhaps it was just Rouch who would never trust him fully, then thought better of it. More than likely this particular wolf was a rare exception. Either way, it was still nice to make another acquaintance who wasn't about to try and tear out his throat.

Lilah's drooping head soon rose and tail was a blur behind her. "Whings!" she heaved to stand, grunting as she strained her injury but not letting that stop her from greeting her fellow injured packmate. She nudged back at his nose and gave a warm smile. "I hope you're resting your injuries more than I am," she chuckled softly before flopping her rump down once more inbetween he and Ruskin and felt her spirit soar to see the friendly interaction.
Whings was a warm soul, but coupled with his lack of knowledge with the contraversy of Ruskin's presence, Lilah just prayed that this encounter wouldn't get the Chicotah's hopes up. Emerald eyes darted inbetween the two, tail still lightly wagging cheefully behind her lithe form. "Yes. This is my partner in crime," Lilah grinned at Ruskin and motioned a paw to Whings and his injuries before directing her grin at the Head Hunter.

Whings furrowed his brow at Lilah, "You shouldn't be standing! You don't want to hurt yourself more." Quickly turning his attention He laughed at her comment, "Yes, I'm the head hunter. Me and Lilah got a bit hurt. I'm healing well, though." He nodded to nothing in particular, musing over the prideful moment he'd experienced not so long ago.
Whings quickly turned his attention to Ruskin, head tilted in curiosity. "Where do you come from? I don't really know where my home - well, before I came here - is. See, my mom was a wanderer and when she died, me and my brother separated and I took on the wanderer lifestyle for a year. Then I came to Rurita!" A dazed smile came onto his face - Whings was a pure heart, a babbling idiot, and sometimes just plain clueless about life. His head tilted farther, ears perked up. "So? Where'd you come from?"

This burst the misfit's bubble of relative comfort, as he understood Whings had yet to realize his bloodline. Ruskin gave a nervous look before responding, "I came here from Chicotah lands..." In the back of his mind, he knew that this could turn sour fast, providing the head hunter had any form of prejudice against his people, which seemed more than likely. His ears twitched, then folded back as he watched, waiting for Whings' reaction. (OOC: Ugh, sorry for the short post, a little tired still )
