Name of site: The Far North
Type of site: Dog RPG
Creatures allowed: Dogs
Brief description: Years ago, when two-leggeds reigned, dogs were captured and bred to do their biddings. They were often cruel and commanding to the dogs, forcing them to work, pull sleds, and even fight each other to the deaths for man's pleasure and profit. The dogs were bred and raised to think like servants and inferiors to whom man were superior and held mastery.
No one really knows what happened to man but they no longer walked the region. The dogs who had escaped their prisons began to think with minds unclouded by enslavement. They fought for survival, a battle against nature for their very existence and the odds were not in their favor. But they made it. Some bred with wolves to strengthen blood ties with nature. They became as strong and as fitted for survival as the wolves who lived for centuries in the far north.
The dogs believed that they would fare better in numbers so a pack was formed. A single, great pack was created and lived in peace for a while. But as time wore on, the great leaders passed with it and the Great Pack began to fall apart. Disagreements over leadership shook the pack, causing deep rifts in the pack itself until finally the single pack slit.
One became two as a group of rebels broke away and two packs were formed. They were as different as night and day, sun and rain, good and evil with hatred as the only thing they claimed to share. But as time passed on, the younger generations began to doubt the old ways. Some braver hounds have even began to mix and mingle despite warnings from their elders. Will love and affection split the ice that accumulated over the decades? Or will another war start, ripping through the lands and destroying The Far North?
