------------- The point to this is so I can see who is currently active and who is not. If you do not reply to this within TWO WEEKS you will be removed from the pack and your account posibly deleted unless you give me, Naco, or Shadow a heads up first. Even if you're a pending member, have your character show up here. --------------
A new day had dawned upon the iron-red mountains. It was a lovely late spring day. Clouds in the blue sky and a warm sun upon his back. The smell of rain was in the air, and the forecast was soon to be stormy. He decided, what with all the excitment going on, that it was time to call a meeting of the whole pack and discuss important matters with them. Things both within and out of the pack, that affected everyone equally.
The mountain was not just dirty and shrubs. There were plenty of trees growing from the rocky soil. They were less dense than those of the Aryians forest, but there were trees no less. He picked the clearing for this meeting - a common spot in the eastern part of the mountains, off by the stream that flowed through from the Whiteback's territory. It was here he looked around before finding a spot to sit, which happen to be on a small bluff above three feet off the ground. There was room for two on it, as his beloved would soon be joining him.
Once he ploped his rear down, he tilted his large head back and parted his jaws to let a howl thunder from his throat and carry through the lands. It called upon every member in the pack. every wolf on his territory to join him. His howl lasted quite a while and carried in it low and high notes in his deep baritone howl. And he repeated it at least three times, to make sure every member heard it across the wide stretch of mountain. His head lowered to be level once more and then he waited for his "family" to arrive one by one. All fifteen of them.
If he saw anyone fail to arrive, the Alpha would be quite displeased. He had not seen some wolves for a while, and if they indeed did not show, he see to it they never showed their face again.
Edit: Try not to reply to anyone until at least five people have posted. Once there have been five people I will then post myself. Edit2: Note that Battlewhisper, Lark and Zoid are exempt from this meeting. It is to be assumed they are there already. Battlewhisper is grounded and Zoid is dealing with personal things. Lark is camping.

The Beta had been patrolling around the outskirts of the territory as she had been in the early parts of the day as usual. Scenting the air, rain was on its way, she looked up to the sky. The morning was quite nice so far, but the clouds in the distance didn’t have the same idea, but they weren’t moving fast enough. Shadow estimated that they would reach her mark in a few hours at the very least.
Spring was almost coming to an end, and she could sense it. Shadow still nervously thought through these days if Breakbone had chosen his Alphess yet. She hadn’t seen him in a while and no word of such had gotten to her if he had. She trusted and sensed that he had, and she knew very well that his choice will be all for the better of the pack.
Her ears perked and tail rose at the tone of a male’s howl. One…Two…Three Howls? Recognizing it immediately, she smiled and turned to the music. It was Breakbone, and it sounded like he was calling for a meeting with the pack. Her jaws parted in a wider smile, but then quickly faded. He was calling for all of the members. That means that wolves on patrol and duty will have to go to him right away, and that means that the pack was vulnerable to attacks.
Shadow thought fast, and then her smile returned as she thought more about it. The pack will be all together, and if danger came that would mean that all the wolves in the pack will be there and ready to fight all at once. With everybody in order if danger appears, the enemy will have no chance against them. She laughed softly with ease. Always thinking for the pack, Shadow? You worry too much, think about yourself once in a while! Now, I better get my butt over there or I’ll be scolded later.
She started to trot forward, knowing that she had more than enough time to arrive at the meeting. He was far, but not so far that she would have to run to get there in time. Her simple trot was quick enough. Soon enough, Breakbone will be in view, but that’s minutes away.
He finally came to her purple-eyed sight. He was sitting on a small bluff. Room for two? So he has chosen his mate. That’s a relief, we now have an alphess! She sighed with relief at the sight before going on. She continued forward, lowering her head to him. Now that the Alphess has been chosen, though, where will she sit? Shadow didn’t want to think about that right now, so instead she stood, feet away from him with eyes gleaming with satisfaction at the sight of the seat open for his beloved.
“I trust that you made a wise choice, Lord Breakbone.” She was truly happy inside for him, her heart pounding and her chest feeling tight from the strain of her keeping her laugh of joy in her. That time will come later, but she wanted to see who the lucky girl was.

Tail wagged as the male wolf stalked a squirrel that had decended from it's safe perch. Squirrels were hard to find here in the mountains but where were afew that had traveled up from the forets down below. And this one so happened to cross the hyperactive male's path. He wasn't goung to catch it. No. What would be too easy. It was way more fun to chase them around until it took cover someplace and left the wolf to find something else to do. Letting out a bark the squirrel jumped up and ran, Kuroda taking chase after it. The first howl made his ears perked but the male hadn't stopped. It was the second calling that finally made him abandoned a good chase.
Disappointed that he couldn't scare the creature any more the dark rust colored male let out a little whine. Still, it was a chance to meet the other wolves. Shadow and Avonaco would be there too! Tail wagged at that though, grin on maw. "Wolfies beware. Kuroda is on the way!" Dropping into a little crouch and looking around almost like a CIA agent undercover. He stood and bounded off towards where the last and final howl had come from. Paws hit the ground in a rhythmic manner as he came apon the scene.
Beta Shadow was already here. And then there was another wolf on a bluff. One he had never seen before. Head cocked to the side in confusion but he soon realized that it was more in likely this wolf that had called which would mean he was Alpha Breakbone! Grin was on his maw again. So this was the famous Breakbone Shadow spoke of so highly. He could see why. This canine was simply amazing in looks alone. Kuroda couldn't wait to see what this meeting brought.
Head dropped into a little bow, even if his tail was still going. Nose twitched to being teh aLpha's scent in, storing it in mind for later reference. It might get lost in the jumble of which was his thoughts but if he scented the scent again the male wolf knew something would click. It always happened. Lifting his head and sitting a few feet from the Alpha in front of him Kuroda looked towards Shadow, casting her a grin as well.
"You must be Alpha Breakbone. Beta Lady Shadow speaks very highly of you." He hoped he wasn't wrong. It would only make him seem like such an idiot. Oh well. He was used to it by now. It would jsut be a simple mistake any wolf could make.

Gazing up at the sky just at the edge of the Bloodback borders, Naco suddenly realized exactly how bored she really was. Border patrol was not exactly all it was cracked up to be. Tail wagged this way and that in a bored manner - worrying her pretty little skull off on how the pack would take her as Alpha female. To her knowledge, many had realized that Breakbone had taken a mate. But few knew who that mate actually was. How would those who didn't know her take it? How would those who did know her take it? Pushing these thoughts from her mind, emerald gaze stared intently in the direction of the Whiteback territory.
If they tried any funny stuff, she'd be on them in an instant. But so far it seemed that they were simply out to make her life boring. I wonder what everybody else is doing. Probably having fun. Brow furrowed at this thought, having fun doing what exactly? If there was any sort of fun going on - she'd have at least heard it. Alone on border duty causes for a silence that can be rather lonely - one's ears tend to search for a sound that will break that horrible silence. As if simply thinking this thought called to beloved - a long howl pierced the air. At once her heart fluttered, as hearts often do when hearing the mere voice of one that has been claimed as there own. The bored and worried emotions that had once been hers to own, disappeared into the happy go-lucky female that had become Alpha Female.
Giving one last glance at the Whiteback lands, and a little snarl (Just to leave them scare) she nearly skipped toward the howl. As he called not once, but twice more, Naco came to the conclusion that it would not be a meeting with the two alone. The time had come to represent herself as the new Bloodback Alpha Female - no pressure there. Thoughts of beloved cleared that mind set, for those loyal to the Bloodback pack would respect the Alpha's decision. Finally coming upon the clearing in which the howl had come, the scent of not only Breakbone filled her nostrils - but that of Beta Shadow and Kuroda as well. It's just a party! Came her thoughts, causing a grin to break out over her face. Finally breaking through the brush that sealed the three off from her view, she continued to grin.
Before greetings were given, she found her paws carry her to the bluff were beloved had seated himself. Plopping her rump down (With an incredible lack of elegance) she favored Breakbone with a warm grin, and a lap to his maw before attention turned to the other two in the area. The warm grin, turned sheepish as Naco couldn't help but wonder what thoughts ran through their skulls at the present moment. "I trust you three are fairing well?" Came her voice, completely happy go-luck with just an ounce of curiosity. If one was to listen closely they might actually hear a bit of embarrassment in her voice. Quite a lucky thing that wolves had evolved with such a thick coat, or her cheek bones would be quite flushed.

The distant call of summoning howls alerted the multi-colored male of important news. Breakbone's calling card... must be for the entire pack... he turned his direction to that of the clearing, the meeting place of the pack. The howls must have something to do with the crowning of the new alphess. It was, afterall, what the pack had been waiting for so long to know.
Grey and red paws whist over the ground at a fast pace, almost at a swift gallop. His border patrolling usually brought him the farthest ends of the Bloodback territory, farther than most, if any, other members willing to venture off.
He finally caught a glimpse of the clearing, making well note that there were very few of them in number. Where was the others? Had they not heard the calling? No, he was the farthest away, they must have heard it.
Eyes went to the few members which have arrived. He was right, it was Breakbone who called, and by his side the new alphess, Naco. Kuroda sat not far from them, someone he had few attempts to meet with. And Shadow... She was there too. Knowing his rank, he bowed before each member of the pack in the respected order which placed them all apart. Giving a second glance at Shadow, Nighteye sat the furthest away, knowing fully well where his place lay.

Different's ears perked up at the urgent sound of the howl. It sounded summoning, and the caller obviously wanted many to hear, so she galloped down a slope, reaching the well-protected clearing in a few short moments. She wagged her plume of a tail, seeing the other wolves, but hesitated.
What if they didn't want her?
The she-wolf frowned, gazing to the sky in thought. The scent of rain clouded her worry for a blessed moment, and she inhaled it deeply before coming to a decision. She would be persecuted if she was caught lagging about at the entrance to the area, and then she'd never make it as a pack member. She truely wanted to join this pack, and would be quite disheartened if she were rejected. She was often only intent on pleasing others and would go to great lengths to avoid a scolding. In this case, things could go either way.
She slunk into the area, waving her tail in hesitant greeting. She lowered her body to the ground as she crept, unsure of her welcome. Then she spotted Shadow. She allowed her tail several glad wags, trying to catch the beta's attention. She knew at least one wolf here... that was a start. In an attempt to be friendly, she approached Breakbone, who was perched atop a ridge at the front of the little group.
"Hello?" she said quietly, her voice cracking slightly. She winced. Wonderful. Different shuffled her paws self-conciously, hoping he had even heard her greeting. She dipped her head to him, then the other wolves assembled. Then she noticed the she-wolf beside him, apparently the aplpha female. Eyeing him curiously, she could not help but wonder who this fourtunate wolfess was. She wished for a fleeting second that she could become the alpha female, pressing the thought aside immediately. Of course she would never be good enough for that. Besides, this couple seemed quite happy, and she could do nothing but pray they live the remainder of their long lives together and happy. She smiled at them, inable to keep herself from admitting it - they were adorable together.

Darktide made her way, a good deal later then the others, to the clearing. Not out of disrespect for the call but weariness and a bad leg made her treck a bit slower. None the less large wolf ambled her way towards the meeting.
Powder blue of eyes looking out beneath the weight of lids that continuously attempt to close. Wide nose takes a testing breath, she had been gone too long and the scents were mostly strange to her. Breakbone was familiar though, his presence was all she required to keep her cool and not begin to interrogate the wolves present.
Towering haunt drew near enough to be seen, about her an air of confidence, of pride and an utter ease within her own body. A body that was quite the sight to be hold. Scar tissue, new and old riddled muzzle, cheeks, brow and throat, patches bare of fur decorated shoulders, forelimbs chest and sides. Badges of battle in all shapes and sizes made the older warrior a slightly gruesome sight.
There is signs…. that once. Before the conflicts that caused the damage to her body had taken place, that the wolf beneath was perhaps pleasant to the eye. Now though, with a body all wiry muscle, a pelt thick and coarse, patchy and at present very dirty…she was more like a vision from a nightmare.
Wide paw pads bring Darktide up to the side of the bluff supporting Breakbone, whom is given a respectful stance in greeting. Tail tucked between stilt like legs, head lowered with a cant to expose throat….though should any of the others get too near to her they would receive a less then friendly flashing of pearly whites…along with the red fur along spine rising up. Should be given her space though….the elderly wolf would be quiet and reverent.
Once her gesture was completed she speaks in a tone more befitting a grandmother then one who earned her self such a mangled body. “Hail M’Lord. I return with…uncomfortable news.”

Silently he sat ther for a time, patiently waiting for the Bloodback wolves to join him. He would give them all day, as the mountains were big and he didn't require them to be there on the double. However, the faster they came, the better, as he wanted to get this business done with. He wanted to introduce Naco and discuss things.
Fluffy ears perked at the first pawsteps that arrived. It was Shadow, of course. She was almost always the first to arrive to anything. His tail wagged slightly and he gave her a nod, along with a sly grin. "You'll see, Shadow." He nodded once more. Although her spot was now taken, she was free to sit right below the bluff, or beside it. Breakbone expected them to make a sort of circle around the spot, as he was going to be in the middle of it soon enough.
Next, his eyes caught a newer member he had yet to meet. This was also the reasoning behind his meeting. The lands were so large that he didn't always get the opportunity to meet the newbies of the pack. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to give up part of the mountains to the Whitebacks. All in due time. Most likely he would discuss that with the pack as well. His head dipped to Kuroda as he arrived on the scene. "I am flattered that Shadow speaks of me so highly. Although I have not seen you until now, I know that you are Kuroda, one of our new packmates. Welcome to my family." He said, quite sincerely.
Ah... finally his beloved had arrived! He stood when he scented her and his tail waved around proudly as she approched, holding herself high like she was supposed to. Her belly was not yet plump with puppies, but soon it would be! And soon, just in time for summer, those puppies would be born and raised in a good year. The pack would rejoice that day. His head pressed against her nape in an affectionate nuzzle, and the kisses to her maw were returned with moist licks before he reseated himself. "Today is a fine day and I fair well. I assume that would go for the rest of the pack." Now that Naco was there beside him, he was happy, with a wolfish smile on his face.
His two omegas were next, Nighteye and Different. Different was another new one, and as she came in, he defiantely showed it by such submissiveness. "Calm down my friend. We are all friend and family here. Nighteye, come in closer, make a circle you two." He nodded with confidence. Normally he wouldn't tell his omegas to move in past their place, but today was a special occasion. They sitll held themselves at their rank, but that was no reason to stay so far away. His favorite omega was missing, though. Pisca. Perhaps he was in the Aryian lands? It would take him a while to get here if that were the case. Ah well, there would be no repremands for some tardyness.
Tevi (although she's not played), his playful Delta bounded in soon enough to join the gathering, and finally Darktide arrived. He had not seen the scarred femme for quite some time, but he was happy to see she had returned alive, and still loyal. What did not make him happy was that she had bad news to bear. "I am happy to see you are back, Darktide. We will discuss your matters during this meeting while we are all together." He motioend his head to the others. "Lay, or sit and relax for now. Take in the new faces."
There were a few others missing. Well, more than a few to be precise. a good ten. But there was no super rush. IF they did not show at all, then he would be angry. "We shall wait a few moments longer for those father away to arrive, then I will tell you why I have called you all here."

A set of mismatched legs carried one of the newer faces upon Bloodback lands with quite an amount of haste. Already, a good length of time had elapsed since the series of three calls had rented air-space to gather the whole of the Bloodback pack. Three paws painted gray, the fourth a muddy brown, beat a quick tempo out across the ground.
The reason for her tardiness? Well, just thinking about it left the she-wolf's ears pinned back in discomfort. She, Joaquin, Omega of the Bloodback pack, had managed to get herself lost in her own packlands. She rather hoped she would not have to explain that to Breakbone, or anyone else for that matter, though she supposed they all would get a kick out of it, or perhaps think her thick in the skull. Either way, now she was making good time.
How she had managed to get lost, she really couldn't even explain to herself. True, it had been some time since she had been within the territory, but after so much traveling, the land had all begun to look the same to her. But the problem was past, her obstacle cleared, and the wolfess now was making a bee-line toward the source of the call.
As the scents of others became steadily stronger, the Omega gradually slowed her pace, pink tongue lolling from the side of her mouth. She waited a few short, precious moments to regain her composure, before easing her way through the trees and underbrush towards the sound of voices, both familiar and unfamiliar. The more she could not recognize, the lower both head and tail became, until Jo had managed to situate herself into a proper Omega posture, even if it portrayed her uncertainty a little more than she had intended.
There were a few faces she recognized... Well, two. Breakbone's and Different's. Tucked tail giving a short wag toward the Alpha in both greeting and respect, Joaquin slipped through the brush and into the clearing, pausing to repeat the action toward the female at his side. Their long-awaited Alphess had finally been crowned, it would seem. "Good day to... everyone." She said softly in greeting, remaining respectful despite her breaking of the silence.
Worried features brightened, and Joaquin relaxed some, her green eyes sliding over all the faces. Some where familiar, but she doubted they would remember her from the time before she had gone traveling. It had been a while, after all. But that was not important. Introductions could be made later, or even during the meeting. This was up to the Alphas, however, and so Joaquin moved a little hesitantly to take an uncertain seat beside the one face she did recognize; Different.

Breakbone's guess that his ring-eyed Omega had been in Aryian lands had been right on mark. Normally, Pisca would have contented himself with border patrol, or recruit-greeting, but that day had been proven to be a rather slow day for either. The borders were being watched closely by several members already, leaving no need for the Omega's help, and those creatures that occasionally straggled into the lands for acceptance had come to a slow finally, it would seem. Of course, Pisca wasn't entirely sure this was a good thing, as the Bloodbacks could always use new members, but at least their Alpha could have a brief respite.
So, finding himself otherwise unneeded, the Omega had taken the early morning hours as traveling hours, and made his way towards Aryian lands. However, Vette and Chronic had proved to be other-wise engaged, undoubtedly busy with their own Alpha duties, much as Breakbone had been for the past several weeks. That didn't stop the Omega however, for he had friends in the other territory, familiar faces that he could find some laughter and company in, and so a few hours of his day had been spent reforging old bonds amongst friends, earning new loyalties to the Bloodbacks as well, as he socialized.
However, the day had been passing by too quickly for the Omega, and he knew personally that one individual could not patrol borders all day long, it was far too lonely to do so. Solitude often took a tole on any creature, and so Pisca had cut short his meetings and greetings, and 'hoofed it' back toward his own homelands with every intention of releaving the first scout of their duty so they could take a break. Patrolling was tiresome work, that much he knew.
His priorities switched rather abruptly after three howls resonated over his head and through the air. He could recognize Breakbone's voice in an instant, and the call itself, was one of a gathering. Gray tipped ears perked instantly, and his direction changed instantly, his charcoal paws carrying him swiftly towards the last dying notes of breakbone's third airborn request. If the Alpha had called a gathering, then Pisca would certainly not miss it... He would just be a little late.
And late he was, but not unforgivably so. Despite all his traveling, the Omega had carried himself with some urgency toward the clearing from which Breakbone had hailed them. No sense in dilly-dallying when you were already late. his quick pace slowed as he neared the area, a deep breath being inhaled and exhaled through his nose, taking in the scents of the others that had already gathered. He could not have been too late, it would seem, as the entire pack had not yet gathered without him. This was good news for the Omega, for he could hardly appear disrespectful, if he were not the last one to arrive.
Tail dropping significantly, and head bowed politely, Pisca emerged through the bushes in an almost timely fashion. His white pelt was dusted with the dirt of both Aryian and Bloodback lands, tinging it an impossibly light shade of reddish brown. He gave himself a quick shake to rid himself of the dust and make himself 'presentable' before giving a the canine equivalent of a bow to Breakbone and the infamous Avonaco. Pisca had never had the pleasure of meeting her face to face, but he and Breakbone had conversed of ability as a possible Alphess. Apparently, Pisca's good word had held some influence... At least, he would like to think so.
"Evening, sir, and madam." Pisca spoke brightly, his tone respectful and yet friendly toward the pair upon the over-hanging ledge. His gray tipped tail wagged in greeting and silent congratulations as his laughter-filled gaze sought out Breakbone's momentarily, before the Omega took his rightful seat within the ring that was slowly filling out.

Wiegraf plodded slowly into the clearing with several wolves already there. He looked around with a snarl, these were to be his new pack, but he still did not like them. There was a ring forming of the members of the pack and he stood just on the outside of it. He smelled the air, getting the scent of these new wolves. He already hated them, even though he had never spoken to a one of them. That's just how he was, He was thinking about leaving just as him common sense kicked in and he realized that with his mouth, he would need "friends" to help him out if he ever got in trouble, or to give him an excuse to shed blood if they got in trouble. Wiegraf decided to sit and wait on the outside of the circle, with sub-par conversational skills, it would best not to speak until spoken to.

Kuroda grinned and nodded at Breakbone.Tail wagged as Avonaco came apon the scene and took place next to Alpha Male Breakbone. So she was to be the Alpha Female Naco of the Bloodback Mountains! He would need to congratulate both of them later when there wasn't as much excitment around him. It didn't take long for many other of the pack members to circle around and join in. There were so many of different sizes and colors and personalities! His head snapped aorund and around as the Omega tried to see every one of them that was arriving. It was hard to keep up with all of them.
He finally stopped after one of the new wolves arriving snarled. Eyes narrowed slightly and Kuroda cast a small 'What's-Your-Problem' look towards the male. Thoughts of how many wolves actually took home in these lands drifted into his mind. "Whoa. Lots of wolves!" he gaped and whispered mainly to himself but loud enough for others that were really paying attention could hear. He had that effect when speaking, not being able to control the volume of his voice that well. Eyes then went back to the two on the bluff, head cocking to the side slightly and paws impatiantly working the ground. How much longer would they have to wait until the meeting began? He wasn't one to sit still for very long. No, his attention span wouldn't let him do that. He would need to be talking to be able too. but Naco was put on the bluff and Shadow was Beta.

The mere touch of beloved seemed to make the worry that had been growing in the pit of her stomach fade away into nothing. She had to stop worrying! The pack would respect whatever decision Alpha made, and so far she had not a single enemy (that she knew of) dreaming thoughts of her death. As the pack began to gather, she smiled and nodded to each one. The smile was not the polite smile that most Alpha's seemed to give their pack, it was the smile of one who will listen intently as one blabbers on about how well the weather is. The approach of scarred warrior shot up an instant flare in her mind. One with many fresh scars and uncomfortable news could not mean anything good, not at all. She remained silent, other then smiling her smile and nodding her nod. As Kuroda came into sight she could not help but grin at his utter boredom.
Just beyond him as a wolf that decided to snarl and place himself out of the circle. Brow furrowed at his antics, not liking at all the way he snarled at an occasion which was meant to be joyous! The entire pack together, it was time to socialize. Mingle with those you knew, and greet those you didn't at least until Breakbone got out whatever he had needed to say. She'd have to keep on eye on that wolf, if he even thought of causing trouble she would be on him in an instant. Her smile had faded upon glancing at him, but soon in returned as gaze moved on. Pisca caught her eye, though she had never talked to the Omega at length. In fact, the only words she could remember saying to him where "Hi! How are you? Dandy! Bye!" Not exactly the conversation of the century. But he seemed well enough, as Breakbone trusted him even as an Omega; which indeed said a lot.
Emerald gaze continued its journey, before it returned to rest where it had started - upon beloved. The pack was almost here. The meeting was soon to begin. At this thought her stomach knotted up once more.

.ooc. Oh, god, 809 words. x.x Sorry if I missed anything, I only woke up an hour ago and I just kinda skimmed through the posts.
.ic. More wolves appeared after she had gotten there. Third to come was none other than Kuroda, her own recruit that she had admitted into the pack just a few days ago. She smiled back as he casted her his own smile. Then just after him was Avonaco, a female wolf that she hadn’t recruited, but had a talk with. They were on good terms, and now seeing her sit beside Breakbone didn’t come as a shock to the beta. He had defiantly made a great choice and it was good to see that he had chosen somebody that she knew. She spoke and Shadow gladly answered. “Ah, yes. This is absolutely wonderful, you two will have a great future together.”
Nighteye was next, one of the omegas in the pack. Though omega, he didn’t seem to mind his rank and didn’t complain about anything. He had glanced at her twice, the beta not seeing him do so the second time, but she sensed it. Felt it.
Ah, and now here was Different. Shadow turned around as she immediately scented her then she smiled. The two seemed to acknowledge that they knew each other. But the beta stayed put as the female walked up to Breakbone and gave him a friendly “hello”, then bowed her head. Shadow’s smile faded, seeing that she was self conscious, something that she had missed on her when she had been recruited. Her jaws parted. “Different, how about you sit next to me until you get more comfortable around everyone?”
Shadow’s ears perked as she heard Darktide speak. While she was paying attention to Different, it seems like the Head Warrior had joined and had already walked forward to get the Alpha’s gaze. Knowing how this particular female was, Shadow didn’t say anything, though she wondered with a burning passion what her bad news was.
Another omega entered, Joaquin. Shadow hadn’t taken in time to speak with her directly, one on one, but that was okay and she knew that she would soon enough. Though, Shadow and Joaquin have been here a while and they both knew how each other’s personalities. And that was enough, at least for now.
And finally Pisca had arrived. He was among the most trusted of Alpha Breakbone, and, like Nighteye and Joaquin, didn’t seem to mind his rank. But being one of the most trusted by the Alpha, what rank do you need for that? Shadow could smell that he had been in the Aryian lands, their allies. Pisca seemed to go there a lot, but Shadow never had bothered to wonder exactly why—not that it was a problem.
Then a wolf that she hadn’t met—or even seen before for that matter—had come in with a bad attitude. Shadow perked her ears, at the sound, keeping an expressionless face as she stared at him, noting his every move. He sat away from the ring and that was the second, but last straw. The beta knew very well that both the alphas and her and a few if not all the members wouldn’t think highly of such behavior at a meeting that was supposed to be a great occasion with happiness. The fur on her nape stood slightly on end as she trotted to his haven outside the ring. Jaws parted once again. “For the record, such behavior will not be tolerated. This is a wonderful occasion and one wolf will not screw it up. Move into the circle, and keep a good attitude, and I won’t be forced to make you lower than the ravens that feast on our scraps of food.” This dark behavior of Beta Shadow was seldom seen, but when she had to threaten she did so as it was part of her job and she wasn’t about to do a poor job on it.
She trotted back to her seat, just a few feet in front of the alphas’ seats. Another smile creased on her muzzle as Kuroda commented on all the members. “Yes, but this isn’t all of them. I do hope that they will all show up.”
As for Shadow’s own news to tell in this particular occasion, she and other members have noticed that the enemies that they have—Whitebacks and Chicotahs—haven’t been seen sneaking around the boarders for the longest time. She guessed they were training forces to launch a surprise attack. This was important news, and she knew that the packlands were in great danger with all of the members here and not patrolling. This would be a perfect time to steal prey from the Bloodback lands, but at least all of the members were safe together in this occasion that was supposed to be wonderful, yes, but Shadow still remained uneasy, thinking about what they planned to do in the near future to their land.

Today marks the second week, and ny who have no shown up without an excuse will be disbared from the pack until I get futher notice. I hate to do this as Bloodback isn't as big as I hoped, but I'd rather have a small number of active members rather than half of the population not active. Also, this post will be short as I have to work in 40 minutes edit: Battlewhisper is no longer exempt. I saw she posted twice on June 22, plenty of time to have posted here.
Breakbone He sat silent for a good while, simply watching as the pack came together. Those who did not show were late now, and faced possible exile. Breakbone did not take his members ignoring his calls lightly at all. When he called for a meeting, the whole pack would be there. Damn skippy. At least the important ones were there, that's what mattered most. Another soft nuzzle to his beloved was given before he lept off his small bluff and in the middle of the ring. He expected Naco to do the same, as it was time to recognize eachother by scent-rubbing. The strong bond that held a pack together and told strangers they were under the command of Alpha Breakbone, and they belonged to these lands. His bushy tail swayed side to side happily and high. It was Shadow he went to first, as she was his Beta after all. Maw opened and lightly took part of her own within it in one of those silly wolfy greetings. In a way, it sort of announced to let the affectionate nuzzlefest begin for a short moment before he started his speech, and looked to the matters of Darktide and anyone else. From Shadow, he'd then go to Tevi, and expect Shadow to go to whoever she wished, same with Tevi when he left her to move on to the next. Eventually the Alpha would come around to all the wolves (or they would come to him, whichever happen first) and nuzzle them, lick or nip their maw, even Darktide. He left no one out of this - except for the stranger, as they were not yet a member.
For a while, at least five minutes, he'd let all the whining of happyness and nuzzling go on. But, soon he'd break it up and return to his mate who would be covered in the pack's scent and plop down ohso ungracefully by her side.
"Now that our bonds have been reinforced, I will first address this stranger lingering away from us." His eyes rose to the wolf who had been repremanded by Shadow. "State you name and buisness, wolf. If you are stupid enough to be an emeny in our presence, then you deserve death." What enemy would come alone in this gathering? They'd be ripped apart before they could even turn to run.
