Rump found itself thrust to the ground in quite the uncomfortable manner, discomfort ran through belle's body though it was ignored completely. Emerald gaze was far too busy drifting across the un-familiar land to care about her bum hurting. "What a nice little place," Came her muttered words, "Too bad it's EMPTY!" The word empty was shouted to the heavens in quite the rude manner. If anyone truly was about, their first impression of the grizzly like wolf would not be very good in the least.
Weight was shifted from one cream dipped leg to the next, an ancy movement that most learn to control as a whelp. Sadly, female really had never grown mentally above the age of five months. A jester at heart really, glad to annoy anyone and anything that came within in her range. Oh no - she didn't purposely try to annoy, it just came with her personalty. Something most hated, if only damsel could find that one other wolf that had a sense of humor. Alas, it was doubtful one would just fall right out of the sky.
No company seemed to come of her little outburst, perhaps they wanted an obvious invite. Ya lousy ... fine. You want an engraved invitation? Chin lifted to the sky and the sound that all canines new as an invitation lifted from her muzzle toward the sky.

Gray ears shot up as the howl echoed throughout the air, casting its melodious sound to the four winds, who in turn carried it across the hills of the mountain, down its steep sides and through the plains below. Female was most probably not the only one who had heard the invitation, but she may be the only one who answered it. Ashen tail wagging happily, cinder-hued paws padding along, sending puffs of dry dust into the air as femme advanced, Dira trotted to wherever the sound had emanated from. Leaves rustled at her coming, and a soft wind played a tune between the trees' trunks. Breath came out of open maw in a cloud of faint mist, resembling a crystal's dust in many ways.
Coming upon the grizzly-like other, the grayscale wolfess barked loudly in her usual greeting.
"H'llo there."
Pink tongue lolled out comically, even though she was not one to be made fun of. One ear was directed towards Avonaco, whilst the other stayed pinpointed towards the trees, ever searching for the sound of another companion. Cranium tilted to the side as she spoke, joyful grin still pasted on face.
((Urgh...sorry if this seems short. I just can't seem to do a good post today.))

Bored yawn cast itself upon her jaws, seemingly no - wait. Browned ears perked at the approachment of a wolfess with quite the goofy grin on her face. Hope lit up every angle of her face, perhaps now there would be another would actually had a sense of humor! Knowing from past experience not to get her hopes up, the look dwindled off into nothing, soon disappearing altogether to leave a friendly smile and a wagging tail. Yes - wagging ones tail was usually associated with the tamed and the young, but in all reality Naco couldn't care less. There really was no reason to care, if others thought she had problems all the power to them. There were times when she herself had to stop and simply stare the words, Did I just do that?, echoing through her mind.
Attention drifted from her own foolishness to the newcomer, she seemed nice enough. The greeting wasn't horrible, and the ashen she-wolf didn't bare her teeth and allow low rumbling to come from her throat, an even better sign.
"'Allo! I'm glad this place isn't empty, I was getting a bit worried."
Emerald gaze drifted slowly across the land, as if to make sure this simply wasn't a decoy and some big bad wolf was going to sneak up behind and eat her. This was one of those times when the thought 'Did I just think that?' drifted across her pretty little head. Resisting the urge to groan about her stupidity, gaze returned to the newcomer.
{Don't worry about it :3 We all have our off days}

Breakbone had heard her alright. In fact, he knew she was coming before she was even there, but he preferred to stay downwind and observe how she acted while waiting. How both of them acted with eachother. The mountain was pretty empty. Bloodbacks owned a good part of the mountains, and their pack wasn't exactly huge. All of them were spread out somewhere and thus it could seem empty. Breakbone was clever, though. He wasn't like other alphas who usually approached first. No... he liked to be cunning and sneaky. He liked to know a little about the wolf before deciding to accept them into his family - his pack. Bloodbacks were loyal and brave. He couldn't have a coward that would turn tail and run in the middle of a fight with Whitebacks, or assisting the Aryians with Chicotahs. Fights could not be avoided with the Bloodbacks. Throughout their history, they fought, and they prevailed.
So he watched the two of them talk. His amber eyes studied their body language and movements. Both females seemed rather cheerful - which was always good. Happy females made happy mothers, and happy mothers produced very healthy offspring. But were they wise? Did they use all of their senses? He would have to test this. The Alpha was hidden by large rocks and mountain shrubs. He searched the rocky ground for a twig - something to make noise. He did indeed find one and whilst they talked, he stepped on it to make it snap. It was loud enough for them to hear if they were quiet, but only a wolf who was alert could hear it while conversing. And a wise one would stop to listen for more. Stealthily, he made his way to another spot, incase they came to check out what made the noise. He crouched down and peered through a thick shrub, waiting to see their reactions.
The Alpha hoped they were worthy of being in his lands. More females were needed. Not just for puppies - but for diversity. New females always seemed to make a pack happier.

While conversation went on cheerily with the ashen belle, an odd sound caught the grizzly colored wolf's ears. What the heck? Why in the name of hell would a sound like that be reaching her ears, unless. That paranoid fear of being ambushed couldn't be coming true, could it? Emerald gaze swiveled about the area, searching for the source of the noise. Nothing. "Did you hear that?" Rump lifted from its previous place, as mitts drifted warily across un-known soil. Emerald gaze searched where the sound had come from, and yet there was nothing. Skull shifted back to the ashen one, invisible brow raised high. Perhaps it was simply a hare - no that couldn't be it. Hare's were far more intelligent then to crack a twig, especially with two hungry she-wolf's about. There was no way that the snap that had been herd was an accident, a pack that foolish would have died out by now. No - something was watching the two of them. Damsel had no way of telling if this new female was in on it, it had happened before.
When your personality is as loud and obnoxious as Naco's, you get used to being chased out by foolish packs. Oh no, she did not run out when it was just one or two or even three wolves coming at her, but a whole pack. No - she was smarter than that. Skull shook itself gently, still very wary of being watched. Oh how damsel hated that feeling, and there was nothing one could do about it either. Unless you could flush out the source in which it came. "Show yourself." Came her shout, the tone much having changed since her last vocals drifted through the night air. Lip lifted slightly in a snarl, "Or do we have to flush you out?" Gaze drifted towards the other, awaiting some flinch or protest. No wolf was foolish enough to attack her packmate, not even the most bloodthirsty of wolves. Alpha's did not take kindly to their fighters being damaged, non-the-less by their own kin!
Oh she hoped this was not another pack that liked to taste the blood of their species on vile lips. There were too many of those these days, and in all reality they needed to be shut down.

((Oopseh, sorry about terrible lateness of doom x.x))
"Empty? He," the gray wolfess snorted, though not in a scornful way. "A pack lives here. Normally, this place should be crawling with wolves by now. Suppose they're just cautious." She grinned again, teeth exposed in their full gleaming splendor. Tail wagged joyfully again, ashen tip swishing through the air with a faint sound of moving leaves. She attempted moving forwards again, since this massive wolf seemed friendly enough, and camped her rump in front of the other.
As soon as the faint but sharp shlack of a broken branch resounded through the already speech-filled and festive air, cinder-hued ears leaped up higher, trained in the direction of the sound. Acute nose sniffed the air cautiously, noting the faint scent of an unknown wolf on the wind. It could be the one who had created the noise, if it had been a canine, or just an odor from a past day. It was hard to tell with the breeze blowing it away every moment.
"Yeh, I heard it," was the simple answer she gave to Avonaco's inquiry. She hefted herself off her backside and trotted forwards warily, faint frown creasing her brow. Icy eyes glinted with unhidden caution, and a faint growl shook Dira's throat. "Flush 'em out is my sort of idea." She nodded shortly, ears still straining to catch another sound, though none came.

He grinned a very wolfish grin as he watched them. Very good. These two were not just average wolves. He had many of the average Grays and Timbers wander through, and they had failed that simple test. Now he just needed one more. The both of them were extremely alert now; possibly paranoid. He could tell by body language that they were ready for an ambush. What to do now? Many times Cronic would help him with these things. They would play together a mock-ambush. But Breakbone was alone and had to think of another test to put them through. The Alpha looked around himself. He could keep moving around and make a sound in certain positions. That would make it seem like there were more than one wolf, and being downwind, they couldn't scent him. Ah... he knew the test.
Breakbone slipped around them so he came in at a side, looking as if he came from the small mountain forest instead of directly infront of them. His posture seemed normal. He didn't hold himself as Alpha yet. Let's see how they would treat any of my other family. He though to himself as he approached the two. Large and strong jaws parted and he panted lightly. Breakbone was more used to be higher up in the mountain, he had to adjust to the oxygen level of down low, and sometimes it was harder than others. Those jaws, though... they could easily crush a skull. That was probably why he had such luck with the Sabres. When they came looking for trouble with the Aryians, he'd be there to back them up. They knew not to mess with ol' Breakbone. He didn't have that name for nothing.
"Greetings, stangers." Said he. Surprisingly, he had a rather smooth voice for a wolf of his size. OF course, to a human, it would just sound like growling or whining.

Emerald gaze remained carefully trained on the ashen female, though posture did not show it - Naco was incredibly aware of her surroundings and ready to bare canines if the time should come for it. Still, she could not feel easy about that sickening crack. No canine was foolish enough to give away his position, if he was he'd be killed in an instant. This had to be something more, something ... different. Or perhaps she just had to get over her paranoia, and get used to the fact that different packs did things different ways. "Really? Well - they sure hide themselves well." The comment was rather light-hearted for the thoughts that were drifting through her skull at the moment.
Movement. Head swung to the side and found an alpha, of course he was not registered as an alpha. From his body posture not low ranking, probably stuck in the middle somewhere. This must have been the one to make the noise, but strange enough he didn't look stupid. The glint in his eyes was of intelligence, no doubt. So why in the world had he snapped a twig? This was far too much to think over. A brain that was used for thinking up lame jokes that were hardly laughed at was not meant to be twisted and turned over something as confusing as this. His words were inviting enough, and Naco couldn't help but find him attractive. A powerful face, with intelligent eyes; a very rare find these days. Putting thoughts of how attractive this new wolf was behind her, rump was placed to the ground once again after padding next to the other she-wolf.
Now that he spoke, almost a fan girl swoon came over her. Quick scolds were given, this was no time to be infatuated over some random wolf. The smell of his pack was heavy, obviously one who had been there many moons. "Greetings. I guess you like being noisy?" Tone was lighthearted, just another joke that would never hear laughter.

Eyebrow raised at the massive canine's sudden comment, a faint smirk upon her lips, Dira seemed to snort in contempt. However, she was only desperately trying to keep her laughter in. She couldn't help chuckling like a river whenever the slightlest funny thing was said. Her sense of humor was a mysterious thing.
"Yes, I do suppose," the grayscale wolven creature replied, nodding her head briefly as the itch in her throat that fought to come out was appeased. Ears swivelled suddenly to the side, now facing the forest beside them, from where Dira had come at first. Pale blue eyes quickly followed, accompanied by ashen skull, and then her entire iron-hued frame whirled round to meet the intruder head-on. It was a brute, a male wolf of thick stature, his jaw hanging slightly open as his tongue lolled out. He was attractive, in a way, but not really her type. She sniffed cautiously, just as she had done when the branch had snapped, and noted that the scent she had found earlier was similar to this canine's. It could have been an old scent, however, and she pushed the thought away.
"H'llo," she barked, one ear bending down slightly in a gesture of greeting. She flashed a toothy grin, showing her gleaming fangs, though not in a menacing manner, and then curtly nodded her head. For some reason, she felt this brute to be important somewhere, either in the pack he smelled so strongly of, or to someone out there. Maybe many someones.
Avonaco also greeted the male. It wasn't very obvious that her words had been a joke, but Dira immediately caught on. She always did. She had a nose for jokes and jesters. Swiftly clamping her mouth shut, an infectious grin creeping up her lips but not revealing the sharp white teeth underneath, she tried once more to stop the flow of cackling laughter she had succeeded in stopping a few moments before. She was lacking in air. As her mouth opened to take more of the precious gaz in, the corners of her maw cranked up a knotch and she burst out in excessively un-ladylike giggles and snorts. She really couldn't help it. Rolling about on the ground, trying to close her mouth again without biting her tongue off, she guffawed like someone who'd just heard a very good joke. And, in a way, she had.

((xD She's excessive, you can tell.))
Nearly crying from all that laughing, Dira picked herself off the ground, still chuckling quietly to herself as she stood straighter. Tail and head were kept low to signify that she was aware of Breakbone's higher status, and she flashed him one of her famous toothy grins.
"Sorry about that, sir," she said, still laughing lightly. She tried her best to stop, since the alpha, for that was what he seemed to be, had practically told her to end the nig, fat and stupid 'joke reflex', as she called it. Gray ears bent forward faintly, pale blue eyes fixed on the male's face. She saw the glance he directed in Avonaco's direction, and another smirk appeared on her maw, though she did not laugh again.
"I've come here to join a pack, sir, and, if I may ask, I'd like to join whatever pack you lead. My companion-"
She halted, realizing that, in all the commotion about the twig snapping and the new wolf entering the clearing, she had forgotten to ask for the female's name. She quirked an eyebrow in the wolfess' direction, asking quietly for her name.
((Uhhh...Dunno what to write >_> Showweh.))

Invisible brow raised itself at the laughter of the ashen female, hm. She could definitely get used to this she-wolf! Grin drifted over her facade, incredibly proud of herself. Of course - if she had known that this was one to laugh at every little thing, Naco would be singing a different tune. Gaze drifted from new-found companion who she was quite warming up to, to the masculine who was now holding his head and tail up high. The words that then drifted through her skull were not quite appropriate for anyone under the age of fourteen to hear without a legal guardian there to cover their ears. If wolves could blush, crimson would be spreading throughout her entire facial area. Posture had already signified she fancied the Alpha, and now he obviously new it. Damn it all! Why did everything seem to happen to her? Head bowed in respect, and incredible embarrassment.
As she-wolf beside her was stammering for a name that her own lips had never given, sheepish smile drifted across her face. "Avonaco. Though, that really is a mouth-full. I much prefer Naco." If Naco had walked on two legs, her own nickname would much remind her of some strange thing on a television show - a commotion of nachos and tacos. Speaking once again, she gave her own reasons for being in these new lands. "I'd like to join a pack aswell, wandering is fun for a bit. But it really does get old after awhile." Hmm, hold the phone. She'd given her own name, but forgotten to ask for the other twos. Sheer embarrassment must have started a memory clog of some sort, "And may I be so bold to ask your names?"

"Naco - I like that. Nice name. Short and sweet, and all the other crap."
Dira gave a deft nod of her head, signifying her acknowledgement of the other female's dubbance. She turned back to face the alpha, who was still there with his tail and head raised, ears erect on the top of his skull, and continued the sentence she had begun but not finished.
"So, as I was saying, my companion, Naco, I presume is also looking for a pack. Wait, didn't she say that already? Oh, just forget what I said. I'm just some ol' bogey. Oh, and by the way, name's Dira," she added, just hearing the massive she-wolf's question.
She was now silent, gray tail twitching to the side every once in a while. It was a reflex of hers, just like her joke reflex. Whenever she stood still, some part of her needed to move. Ears, tail, paws, shoulders - anything. It was just another one of those tics that rendered everybody mad with exasperation. She had that sort of effect on others.
Soon, however, she became a bit bored of this silence. Eyes now roaming off their main direction, the alpha, she took in her surroundings to be sure that she'd find herself later on, if she were to enter the pack. For it wasn't sure that she would. Her excessive laughing had already been noted down by Breakbone, that was obvious, and her tic of impatience and movement would probably also be noticed in a short period of time. She did hate all of these things that made her even more imperfect than the average.
Oh well. At least I'm not some blood-thirsty idiot that kills on a single whim, she thought wrily, smirking to herself. Her pale blue eyes veered back to the alpha. She didn't want her inattention to be noticed right away.

Flicked an ear to shoo away a fly that was bothering it. By now the scents of the rest of the pack had drifted to his nose. They were surrounding them, though hidden well. The pack would take no chance in letting their leader fall. If those two were spies and decided to attack, the rest of the pack would be on them in a matter of seconds.
Once more he glanced between the two of them as they exchanged their names and gave their reasons. Well of course they wanted to join a pack, why else would they just be hanging around waiting for someone? Spies spied. Rarely did they mingle. And Breakbone had a nose for spies. Some of them didn't really cover all their scent up. The Alpha inhaled deeply and held it for a moment. Then quietly it was all exhaled. No, no scent of the other lands on these two. They were truely wanderers. So, he gave a warm smile.
"And why should I let you two into my packlands? What could the Bloodbacks benfit from the two of you?"
His head canted slightly, and he stared at them with those eyes that seemed to speak more than he did vocally. Another inhale. He could smellthe Aryians near. apparently some of them had scented these new commers as well. His tail swished side to side and lowered for a moment. It was a way of communicating with the Aryians without speaking. It told them to go, and all was at peace. Sure enough, he could hear the rustle of leaves as they trotted back down the foot of the mountain.
"And I want true answers. Don't give me crap every other Alpha would want to hear."

Skull cocked curiously as the scent of many unfamilars drifted into her nostrils, insurance possibly? Well that was very strange. No, actually it wasn't. As mind shifted and finally registered why the entire pack would come to witness new-comers, her head bobbed in understanding. How obvious was that? And it had taken her quite some time to understand it too. Oh well, no use crying over what her mind didn't know. Caudal appendage wagged itself slightly excited to be this close to joining a pack that cared this much about their Alpha. Grizzly-like she-wolf was the kind to wear her emotions on her sleeve, if a wolf could wear sleeves that is.
The warm smile was reassuring, something that Naco could really get used to. Always being one to mimic others facial expressions, the smile was returned as mind mulled over what exactly she could add to the pack. Brute strength for one thing. Laughter bubbled up inside her, but was soon pushed down not wanting to seem insane like Dira had already made herself out to be. But how to convince an Alpha that she was a necessity to his pack? Surly there could be a way! Deciding to not think it over and just allow words to flow from her jaws, mouth opened and so began her application of sorts into the Bloodback lands.
"I believe that the Bloodback pack could benefit having me around because well, for one thing I'm big." Slight chuckle escaped her larynx before she continued, "I was born to a pack and stayed their until about two years of age, so I know how a hierarchy works. I'm not one to just randomly wave my tail high in dominance to the Alpha, and I think I'm fun to be around. Though, many have told me otherwise. I'm not going to turn tail in the face of battle, that's just not me. I'm the kind of canine to stick it out even after the major battle is finished. Don't get me wrong though - I'm not going to fight an impossible fight that will lead to the death of me and many others. I know when I'm beaten, and I'm not going to stick around with pride and say I'd rather die then lose."
Jaws finally closed, smile still wide on them. Naco was rather happy with what she said, and only hoped that Lord Alpha would feel the same.

More scents came to the grayscale female with a faint burst of wind, similar to that of the one she had found before, except that, this time, she was sure their owners were present and accounted for. Eyes flicking to the side every once in a while, searching for a hint of movement to show who it was, she turned her gaze back to the alpha. He didn't seem worried. Which meant, all in all, that they were pretty much safe from harm. At Breakbone's inquiry, Dira delved into the depths of her mind, looking for just the right answer. She pondered over it for a while, digging out her qualities, though they weren't in abundance, and showing the worst things about her away. Finally coming up with an element of response, ashen maw opened to let words be exhaled from between the dagger-like tips of her gleaming fangs.
"I would be a worthy addition to the pack because of my small size. I can escape attacks easily, and can retaliate quickly without being caught in the process. I never back down from a fight, but I know my limits, as Naco here does. I can't say you can call me nice, but I can be friendly, and I know the rules of a pack. I respect those who are of higher rank than I am. I think you may have noticed my slightly excessive laughter, but it's a habit I can't seem to break. I laugh at the slightest thing, from the smallest joke to the biggest goof-off. It's just something like that. All wolves have bad things in them, and laughing too much is mine. I enforce the rules, though it doesn't look like it. I hate it when a wolf surpasses what they are supposed to do, or go below their expectancy level. However, I do not punish, since I am not of high enough rank to do so. I know my place in the pack."
She had had to inhale a few times during her small 'speech', and now closed her mouth to show that she was done. It had not been very long, but she hoped it was satisfactory. She'd never been all that good in using words except when she insulted others, and insulting the alpha was not a good thing. As soon as the first mocking word escaped her mouth, the clearing would be overrung by the wolves she knew were hiding all around them.
((I forgot to say she was small in all of these posts. What a dunce I make >_> *bonks head*))
